LOOK: Researchers from the University of the Philippines Diliman and Philippine Normal University confirm the rediscovery of Exacum loheri (H. Hara) Klack. (Gentianaceae) after 130 years.

The species was found during a malacological (snail) reconnaissance study in Masungi’s “600 Steps” area in Baras and Tanay, Rizal.

When I was young, I went to the movie theater whenever I had a bad day or wanted to be alone. So I often went to late night showings. Back in those days, there was no reservation system, so when I ran in, the movie was often in the middle of the show. I feel like that experience was more like escaping into a fantasy world or into a cocoon of the movie theater, rather than going to watch a movie. Today, I recalled a lot of memories, but I felt appreciation for the late night showings.
