Taylor Swift and Dakota Johnson run back into the theater before Video of the Year #VMAs

[Taryn Ryder @taryder]

And yes, Taylor Swift is dancing along to her own “Patient Zero” music video with the rest of us #VMAs

[Taryn Ryder @taryder]

Taylor Swift and Dakota Johnson were walking off stage when “Patient Zero” video premiered and didn’t realize they could watch it with us in the theater. Naturally they stopped! How cute are these two?! #VMAs

Taylor Swift makes sure to greet her fans on the way up to accept the inaugural Artist Director Honor at the #VMAs

[Taryn Ryder @taryder]

More of Taylor Swift and Madonna! Looks like you’ll get a much better (and official photo) of those two in the audience than this bumpy video. But I know it’s the content you want #VMAs

Taylor Swift has made it inside the Peacock Theater and finds Madonna #VMAs

Truly deafening cheers for Off Campus stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli in here as they take the stage to introduce Sienna Spiro. Those three are STARS. #VMAs

Besties and #VMAs winners Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter leave holding hands after picking up Best Collaboration, presumably to have that backstage drink

[Taryn Ryder @taryder]

Also, can we have a moment for the dedicated camera people.. in heels and stockings… to capture Madonna’s performance so on theme #VMAs

[Taryn Ryder @taryder]

Madonna x Sabrina Carpenter x Charli xcx just brought the house down opening the #VMAs. The energy felt like the fun, old-school VMAs. Madonna and Charli walked offstage together. The Queen seems pleased 👑

Taylor Swift is in the building at the VMAs

[Taryn Ryder @taryder]

We are here on the carpet at the VMAs (and officially on Taylor Swift watch)

[Taryn Ryder @taryder]

Will Taylor Swift be at the VMAs? No confirmation yet (and notably, no seating card for her today), but I’m cautiously optimistic. It’s shaping up to be a BIG night for her, the Chiefs are on the road in Miami and, respectfully, no one needs to travel to watch that game.

No shade to the Chiefs. All shade to the Dolphins.

[Taryn Ryder @taryder]

Madonna has prime placement inside the VMAs as of now! The seating cards aren’t necessarily where everyone will be sitting on Sunday, they are more for today’s press opp, but I’ll be surprised if the Queen goes too far
