@barrel_rolls This is my plan. Once the kids are out of the house I'm selling it and buying a boat and sailing the world. I'd rather die fighting Neptune than in a "Retirement Home" or be a burden on them.
@Mericamemed Save up a few dollars and buy a house. Rent it out until the kid turns 19. Should be almost paid off if you focus hard on it. Move in when the kid turns 19 and she'll be fine.
When my son turns 18 I'm going to give him a trust and an LLC fully owned by the trust and instruct him to only purchase things with the LLC using savings he's invested through the LLC. It's all per-marital and the Trust is it's own entity. Go forth young man and never have any personal money.
@RyBen3@REDNAROM I did a triathlon once that Lance Armstrong signed up for it (he was doing Tri's after he got kicked out of cycling). The bike section was a 2x loop and yeah, he lapped my on his 2nd loop as I was starting my first. That was cool.
Something like this happen at a company I was working at. They decided to setup AWS and gave all the developers the tools to spin up their own instances without any oversight...sa many as they wanted. It was not a pretty day as every IT project budget had to take a haircut to cover it.
@TerryCarlsonII@CubHawk44@lorifrank1 Best you could get was SPF4. My grandparents made me wear it when they took me to the beach. The rest of the time was nothing. This was SoCal in the 80's, so we were running around wearing shorts and without shirts all day. 1st day of school everyone was comparing tans.
@RoaringHammy Sounds like I'm getting up every morning like I'm going to work and then finding something to do for around 8 hours before heading home. Might get a small condo with a home theater system.
