My prediction for Lord of the Rings: Return of the King the tricktaking game is during the final mission you must win with the 1-ring and choose not to. Then, it says you must physically destroy the ring card. (The denouement says there is another 1-ring beneath the game insert.)
Logic & Lore is back for a 2nd Edition with an expansion, L&L Variance.
After selling out last year, we are excited to be part of bringing the game to more folks. Two-player cozy-but-competitive deduction with design and art from Durdle. Check it out at the following link!
If I'm still this obsessed with Zenith in 4 months, I'm going to make an unrequested fan-expansion. Beginning of June, I'll make that call. It's a wonderful board game!
@jakemalasek I was wondering this today. Seems very time-dependent. If you think the total number of remaining possessions means that a 2-score lead seals it, which at maybe at the ~4 minute mark, then you should do it. If there is more time, then I think things gets way more complicated.
Another year, another 3,000+ minutes of listening to @AesopRockWins.
Recently ran the Philly Marathon, listening to Aes's discography, starting with Float. I got deeper into it than expected (my 2nd half was soo slow).
Each year Aes releases new music is an incredible blessing.
Just started "the Two Towers Trick-Taking Game," the second installment of the series, and it already feels like the perfect expansion.
We played the first game week after week with the same group, and this is exactly what we wanted. Kudos to @OfficeDogGames and team.
We got Rowdy on stream with @boardgamingcrew, playing Rowdy Partners, our Wild West Pro-Wrestling beat'em'up trick-taker. It came down to the wire!

My November gaming was great, including Rowdy PAX moments and radical Turtle adventures.
Party games "Person Do Thing" and "ITO" landed well in multiple settings.
The surprise gem at our house has been Thief's Market by @PickPocket_BG , which keeps hitting the table. Good stuff!
Cool video showing off the 2-player Rowdy Partners experience! We'll be at PAX supporting Rowdy in cosplay. Super excited about it!

I HEARD IT’S A MESS THERE TOO
Dear traveler,
It’s a mess out here. I heard it’s a mess there too.
I’ve been home pressing buttons and turning knobs, mostly. The dogs get me out of the house which I am grateful for.
I wanted to drop these recent experiments off for you. I was trying out some new tools and caught a little wave on my way to wherever I’m headed. The songs feel more transitional than they do a final destination - but I had fun making them.
I hope things around your way get better soon. Until then - take care of one another.
Best
A.R.

Darren and I wrote a design diary about our new game," Rowdy Partners" - a wild west tag team beat'em'up with a trick-taking core.
Plus, there is a picture of me with a silly mustache.
I love how @cmyk_games devotes the first few pages of their rulebooks to splashy game overviews with common language and fun visuals. It lures you in and begs you to turn pages.
It's also a great script to read outloud to the table, like picture-book story time. Rad stuff!
A friend designed a strategic dice game with some light bidding, some negotiation, and a lot of little risky decisions.
I got to do the art for it (over the pandemic). So, if you're interested in some human art -or- being a French thief, take a peek: https://t.co/T8dTfnIFqw
We’re back with the CARD GAMES installment of our Board Games Direct Series! All these games, big and small, have you clasping a cadre of cards in your clammy claws - and they’re all a bit QUIRKY.
