Teamsters General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman addressed a packed house of rank-and-file members in Palm Beach, Calif., at Local 63’s Stewards Dinner. Joined by Local 63 Secretary-Treasurer Randy Cammack, and International Vice Presidents Lindsay Doughtery and Victor Mineros, Zuckerman emphasized the importance of rank-and-file engagement in driving the top priorities of North America’s strongest union.

Local 63 proudly represents over 16,000 Teamsters in Southern California working across diverse industries.

“Stewards are the eyes and ears of the rank-and-file. You’re the ones enforcing the contracts. You’re the ones holding companies accountable. You’re the ones providing the best possible representation to the membership. That’s why we’re the most powerful union in the world,” Zuckerman said. “None of the progress we’ve made over the last four-and-a-half years would have been possible without you. And we’re just getting started. So, buckle up, and get ready to organize faster, bargain harder, and deliver even stronger results for the membership."

Members of Teamsters Local 170 and Local 633 at Bimbo Bakeries have ratified a new agreement by an overwhelming 90 percent. Earlier this month, the sales and warehouse workers authorized a strike after the company refused to offer area standards or real wage adjustments.

The new six-year Teamsters agreement includes pension improvements, wage increases, and reduced health care costs. The contract also offers strong job security protections.

“We were tired of management taking for granted the work we do that makes Bimbo so successful,” said Jason Morin, a shop steward at Bimbo Bakeries and member of Local 633. “We were ready to strike if needed and are proud that we have a secured a powerful new deal.”

TEAMSTERS ORGANIZE TWO DHL SUBCONTRACTORS IN 24 HOURS

Fifty-five drivers at Cartage Services by DeliverOL and Driven-Force Inc., two subcontractors for DHL Express, have voted unanimously to join Teamsters Local 745. The two organizing victories, secured within 24 hours of each other, come as workers seek to win the wages, benefits, and workplace protections enjoyed by thousands of DHL Teamsters nationwide.

During the organizing campaign, both DHL subcontractors committed multiple unfair labor practices and hired high-priced outside union-busters to try to stop workers from organizing. Their efforts failed. Drivers at both companies voted unanimously to join the Teamsters.

Day by day, week by week, the Teamsters movement to unionize Amazon grows bigger and stronger.

Nearly 100 drivers have unionized Amazon's largest delivery station in Rhode Island, and are the first Amazon workers in the state to join the Teamsters.

Today, Amazon Teamsters and their allies rallied at Chicago City Hall to support the Delivery Protection Act ahead of a Subject Matter Hearing on the legislation in the City Council this afternoon. Introduced by Alderwoman Julia Ramirez (D-12th Ward), the ordinance would require delivery companies operating in Chicago to license their last-mile delivery facilities with the city and ban subcontracting practices used by companies like Amazon.

The Teamsters Union calls on the Chicago City Council to pass the delivery reform legislation as soon as possible.

Teamsters leaders from across the Western United States gathered in Denver Tuesday for the third of the union’s biannual regional meetings, focused on ambitious organizing goals and preparations for upcoming contract negotiations.

Attendees heard from Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman, as well as updates from departments within the International Union.

“Since March 2022, the Teamsters Union has now organized more than 100,000 new members. For the modern era, these are historic numbers. There are no other international unions organizing at this pace or at our scale,” O’Brien said. “There are no other unions in North America who service and represent more workers in more diverse industries than the Teamsters.”

Attendees also heard from Spencer Hogue, President of Teamsters Joint Council 3; Sunshine McBride, Director of the Teamsters Political and Legislative Action Department; Will Petty, Director of the Teamsters Strategic Initiatives Department; Chris Rosell, Director of the Teamsters Organizing Department; Rina Hatch, Director of the Teamsters Education Department; and Tom Vitiello, Teamsters R.O.A.D.S. Coordinator; as well as other Teamsters leaders.

Following the regional meeting, the Teamsters Organizing Department held a daylong workshop with affiliates from across the West to plan and strategize for the union’s continued growth.

The Western Region meeting follows the Eastern and Southern Region meetings held in New York City and Orlando. The Central Region meeting will be held in Chicago later this month.

Teamsters at United Airlines deserve wages that do more than just keep up with rising costs. The 2026-2030 United Airlines Teamsters Tentative Agreement ensures rank-and-file Teamsters will stay ahead of the cost of living and inflation.

The tentative agreement locks in real progress, delivering wage increases projected to keep members ahead of inflation through 2030. Wages for A&P technicians at United Airlines have consistently outpaced inflation under a Teamsters contract, and this trend will continue under the current agreement before members at the air carrier.

On September 11, 2001, hundreds of Teamsters in New York City answered our nation's call to service. Our members in the construction trades immediately got to work cleaning up Ground Zero — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 9 months. After the debris was cleared, Teamsters stayed onsite and went to work rebuilding the World Trade Center.

Today we honor our Local 282 members who have suffered serious illness linked to their exposure at the site for their courage, patriotism, and lasting contribution they made to rebuild New York City after one of our nation’s darkest hours.

TANKHAULERS JOIN TEAMSTERS FOR STRONG UNION REPRESENTATION

Highly skilled drivers and warehouse workers, who handle hazardous materials such as gas, ethanol, herbicides, and sulfuric acid are organizing with the Teamsters from coast to coast because they know life’s better with North America’s strongest union.
