Consumer spending was also revised up to a 3.8% annual rate.

Consumers SAY they're worried about the economy, but they keep spending.

And a stronger economy can make lower interest rates harder to achieve.

👉 Revisaron datos anteriores.
👉 El consumidor sigue gastando.
👉 La inflación sigue por encima del 2%.

NO significa que los números sean falsos.

Significa que el titular NO cuenta toda la historia.

PCE inflation came in cooler than expected today.

That's good news.

But there's an important wrinkle: BEA changed the methodology for several components, including portfolio management, legal services and computer software, and revised historical data going back to 2021.

So today's story isn't simply “inflation fell.”

Inflation improved AND the ruler used to measure parts of it changed.

Core PCE is still around 3% versus the Fed's 2% target.

Both sides of that story matter.
