It was a great privilege to have been taught by Dr. Etor in Electrical Engineering. He introduced us to a completely new approach to teaching that was quite unfamiliar to us at the time. He taught us Electrical Machines, and I can confidently say that he is one of the best lecturers I have ever had. His passion, knowledge, and unique teaching style made a lasting impression on me.

I think you’re absolutely missing the point. Nobody is denying the work or effort that goes into organising an event. His point is simply that the event could have had better visibility, and don’t you think that is a valid observation?.

Not knowing about an event doesn’t mean someone doesn’t care about the ecosystem, neither does it undermine the work of the organisers. In fact, if someone who is active in the ecosystem didn’t hear about it, that should probably be a good feedback on the visibility of the event, Abi?.

You can disagree with how he expressed himself, but instead of getting defensive or questioning whether he cares about the ecosystem in Nigeria, why not address the actual point he raised and work on making the next event more visible?

lol. How exactly was he being rude? He simply made a comment about the lack of publicity surrounding the event. He made a valid point, and you’re yet to actually contradict or address that point. Instead, you’re throwing tantrums and making the conversation about his character. If you disagree with his opinion, there’s a smart way to respond to it.

Why don’t you guys simply understand his point and use the feedback to improve? He’s pointing out a genuine visibility problem with the event. Instead of getting defensive about how he expressed it, you can acknowledge the gap and work on making the next one better.

while you are entitled to your opinion, i can only speak from my own experience with sui and its support for builders.

i was part of the @suioncampus team for the last two years and i have seen firsthand @SuiNetwork support hundreds of projects through $1k, $2k and $3k grants.

not every project survived but many are still building today. @Payfrica is a great example.

-@uselinq also received a substantial grant last year that allowed them to expand. they have now processed over $200k in transactions and continue to build.

- last year, sui sponsored three builders from our community to attend basecamp in dubai. they made valuable connections and eventually landed opportunities within the ecosystem.

does @SuiFoundation do everything right? maybe not.

but i think it’s important to acknowledge that things are rarely black and white.

saying sui does noy support builders would simply not match what i have personally experienced.
