@LanaHempsall 30,000 are WAVs - adapted to carry a person in a wheelchair. You then have vehicles with hoists to lift heavier powerchairs and scooters and vehicles that people lift their manual chairs into - often over themselves. Better research and understanding needed here.
You destroyed a library. It was MORE than a library, it was a food bank, a source of heat for people in the winter, a place for kids from low income families to use the internet, or do their homework. Why destroy something so vital? Yeah you’re so patriotic guys.
Maybe, instead of National Service for 18 year olds they should introduce national service for MPs.
They all have to do several weeks volunteering in a school, GP, hospital, care home, social care and police within their first 12 months in office.
Totally agree. Our child has lost their brother and been seriously unwell and none of this really counts. The most we can ask for is a few % increase in their mark. According to education 6 months is the most you can grieve for. Then it’s all magically better again.
@educationgovuk Not all pupils can sit their GCSE’s m, like our son, recently diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma - advised by the @JCQcic that he must sit at least 25% of each exam in order for special consideration ie his CANCER! to be taken into account @GillianKeegan@justinmadders
@LidlGB is there any chance you could get some normal handheld baskets in your Haverhill store please? As a wheelchair user I currently have to balance goods on my knee and limit what I can buy as a consequence. Thanks
@DaveOnTweeter hi, we sadly missed your Norwich gig as my son was on end of life care . Will you tour in the UK again soon? I’d like to get our teenager to see Lovejoy somehow. It’s not easy as we are two wheelchair users. Thanks
Exclusive: Schools face a 'high risk' of successful legal challenges if they follow several elements of today’s controversial trans guidance, advice written by the government’s own lawyers reveals
https://t.co/zeTrsmy1Bz
The DfE ‘Gender Questioning Children’ draft guidance has been published.
It is, IMHO, wrong in law in a number of respects and, if followed, would lead schools to act unlawfully towards trans pupils.
It is also a cruel attack on a vulnerable minority by a nasty government …
60% of #Covid DEATHS : Disabled.
Most food bank users: Disabled.
Deepest in energy debt: Disabled.
People let down most by DWP: Disabled.
Job of minister for disabled people downgraded.
The message is clear & unequivocal:
We value you less than the lowest in society.
@katehs83 We have an EHCP which says work must be provided if teen misses school. It’s still a game of catch up but most teachers tend to be prompt with resources/ work where possible. It was a fight to get but does work well along with other provisions. Happy to be DM’d if that helps.
Watching #DrWho will always be different without my brother. He would have loved tonight’s episode with David Tennant. The inclusivity was incredible. @georgiaEtennant #DrWho60Years
Very proud of @Jessie_SJA for doing this. It’s been an incredibly tough time for our family over the last six weeks with the loss of William but they still give their best to the community.
My brother was a rough sleeper, unlike Suella Braverman he has dedicated his life in gratitude to the fact he still has it to the service and help of others. He'd be a better home secretary than her but then again a cardboard box would be a better home secretary than her.
@BootsUK any idea when the Bury St Edmunds store automatic doors will be repaired? The alternative is too steep for wheelchairs and catapults manual users onto the pavement at speed. It’s been hard over the summer but with worse weather it’s an accident waiting to happen.
