@chanian @maxkolysh I tried asking Google to find me a flight using Gemini and multiple times it kept suggesting I just look up the flight myself using Google flights and I said aren't you Google? Can't you do it? And it said no

@nichochar I do truly enjoy the relief of not having to wade through dozens of pages of crappy documentation and contrasting opinions when I can just ask AI the question I wanted the answer to and it usually nails it. That usually halts the grieving process.

@sampullara There's also the California specific fees

@nichochar Playing with mocha for an hour is what flipped the switch in my brain about AI and programming being real. I was blown away by the concept and your team's implementation. So hard to tell what is going to thrive in this new environment, but wow, excellent run!

@pitdesi Panasonic with a power inverter makes a huge difference. I also like that it uses a physical knob to quickly dial in common times instead of having to type. You can also tap the minute button if you need to. Ironically, the bigger ones are cheaper than the smaller ones

@nichochar I came to this conclusion the first day my manager asked me to review code written by bots. I had a hard time coming up with feedback that was worth my time to find and worth the trouble for the author to "fix"

@yishan I wonder if there's a little bit of that Schindler's list ending going on, where we all feel guilty because we could have done more once we see how much influence we have with relatively low cost from our perspective. Every weekend you don't build an app.. did you waste it?

@noahlt Theory: The economics of bullet testing software can't compete with the economics of getting something mostly working out quickly

@eladgil I remember half jokingly talking about the singularity with you in San Mateo 17 years ago. It's getting close

[Tom Wuttke (tomw.bsky.soc) @tw]

@sampullara @heysaik I never did figure out how to dictate the word "period"

[Tom Wuttke (tomw.bsky.soc) @tw]

Guys could use an indicator like this

[Tom Wuttke (tomw.bsky.soc) @tw]

@nichochar @MaorShlomo @Base44 Was curious what the difference was between base 44 and get mocha. Gemini says: Choose Mocha to test a concept by tomorrow; choose Base44 if you need a reliable, full-stack foundation for a business app next week. Mocha is half the monthly price.

Is that accurate?

@BobrovCooked @heeney_luke Have you been on the new caltrains? They're quiet like electric cars

@MrBeast Would editing the likes temporarily go against X company policy?

[Tom Wuttke (tomw.bsky.soc) @tw]

Oh I just noticed Palo Alto has one of these. Any chance to get one of those for Tamien?

[Tom Wuttke (tomw.bsky.soc) @tw]

@Caltrain how often is the station at Tamien hosed down for urine? I was surprised how the odor encompasses almost the entire public space. Downstairs upstairs all along the benches. By contrast, the Palo Alto station smells great
