Vice President @JDVance Defends Texas Ten Commandments Law on Joe Rogan’s show!
“This is an important cultural element of the western civilization which is the foundation of the classroom I am sitting in right now.” - JD Vance
Last week, three Houston-area mothers filed a lawsuit challenging this law requiring the display of the Ten Commandments in public schools. Texas Values was one of the leading organizations working for the passage of this law (SB 10) and is working to protect the Texas Ten Commandments Law.
Learn more about this law and how you can get involved here: https://t.co/6ebPbmLs58
Classes will begin soon in Austin ISD. One old issue still remains in the new school year: Austin ISD has not agreed to comply with the Texas Women’s Privacy Act.
“Austin ISD may think they can play hide and go seek but we will not rest until we seek justice for the girls at Austin High School who had to share the bathrooms and locker rooms with an older male student, against their will. The law is clear and we look forward to the Texas Attorney General holding Austin ISD accountable for violating the Texas Women’s Privacy Act.” -@MECastlePolicy1, Director of Government Relations for Texas Values

The media can't stop talking about Texas Ten Commandments law!
Now, the @nytimes & other major news outlets are highlighting a new lawsuit filed by Houston-area mothers seeking to stop the law. But here's what they aren't telling you: this law has already been through the legal process and has already been upheld by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
The fact that national media outlets continue covering this issue shows just how impactful Texas is leading the conversation across the country.
If your school or district needs posters of the Ten Commandments that comply with Texas law, let us know! We're here to help get them into your classrooms. Visit https://t.co/6ebPbmLs58 to learn more!
FYI: Top democrat candidate James Talarico calls the Bible "Propaganda"
Just last month, the Texas State Board of Education approved new instructional materials that teach students about the historical significance of religious texts including the Bible.
The Texas Values Action team was at the SBOE meetings to testify in support of these materials and to defend the accurate teaching of our nation's history and the role faith has played in shaping our country.
Churches should never have to choose between their faith and their freedom of speech.
This week, Texas Values joined an amicus brief before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit defending the free speech rights of churches and challenging the unconstitutional application of the Johnson Amendment.
We're grateful to join our colleagues at @MNFamilyCouncil, Kansas Family Voice, and others in leading this important effort to protect the First Amendment rights of pastors and churches to speak freely without fear of government censorship.

"Texas Values donated 1,200 posters showing the commandments from the Old Testament so that every Denton ISD student could see and read them."
Texas Values was featured in a @keranews article after donating 1,200 Ten Commandments posters to Denton ISD.
We also distributed a legal guidance letter to all Texas public school districts regarding compliance with S.B. 10, the Texas Ten Commandments law to provide school administrators with answers to common questions regarding compliance, implementation timelines, legal protections, and the proper display of qualifying Ten Commandments posters in classrooms.

Keep God in Texas! 🙏🇺🇸
We had an incredible time last week at the Laredo Prayer Task Force event celebrating faith, family, and freedom!
Keynote speaker Pastor Rafael Cruz joined Texas leaders, including Texas Values' Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations, and Pastor Jorge Tovar, who leads our Church Ambassador Network of Texas - TXCAN, and more for an inspiring gathering.
Texas Values was honored to be a sponsor of this event alongside @tpusafaith, @cdfusa, & other organizations committed to keeping faith at the center of our communities.
Top democrat candidate James Talarico says he hates Christianity??!!
Texas Values Action continues leading the fight to protect faith in Texas—from the Ten Commandments in classrooms, to medical conscience protections for healthcare providers, and defending attacks on Christmas.
🚨 UNEARTHED
In an interview with a self-described “TransQueer” activist theologian, Texas Democrat James Talarico says he "hates" Christianity:
"I always think of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity.”
FYI: Top democrat candidate James Talarico voted against current Texas law which outlaws harmful child gender modification.
No child deserves a false sense of hope from the unscientific idea that they are not really the sex they were born. Texas Values Action was the leading law and policy organization that advocated for the passage of this law (SB 14).

So we also need God-fearing patriots and Texas Values supporters to show up and tell the board what's important to them." -Brandon Hall

This platform reflects the values of Texans who believe faith should not be punished, children should not be commodified, and innocent life deserves protection.
