Big news out #TXlege! HB 4773, the Interfacility Transfer bill, passed on the House floor on third reading today with strong bipartisan support! Thank you to author @DadePhelan & a broad coalition of House members across the state who supported this commonsense small biz bill.

This is a BIG milestone but the work isn’t done yet! Both Interfacility Transfer and the #BeersforSteers bill are now over in the Senate, where they must achieve final passage by June 2 (Sine Die) to become law.

HB 3336, authored by @BradBuckleyDVM, would create targeted excise tax relief for brewers & distillers that donate spent grain to Texas farms and ranches. A nutrient-rich byproduct of the brewing process, it makes excellent livestock feed & is used in regenerative agriculture.

#TXlege is in full swing and HB 4773, the Interfacility Transfer bill, passed out of the House Licensing & Administrative Procedures Committee this week with strong support! Thank you to Chairman & bill author @DadePhelan & the LAP committee for advancing this common-sense bill.

HB 4773 would fix that, allowing brewers to transfer finished beer between commonly owned locations without having to route it through a 3rd party or “sell it back” to themselves. More local taprooms, fresher product, fewer roadblocks for small business operations & expansion.
