Yeehaw! 🤠🌵 Dosbarth Wrens had an amazing time dressing up as cowboys and cowgirls for our Thank You for the Music parade! After exploring Nashville, America, and the wonderful world of country music, we were ready to bring a little bit of the Wild West to school 🎶⭐

Our Heddlu Bach enjoyed a visit from Bedwas Policing Team today. They explored a police vehicle, learned about the equipment officers use and gained a valuable insight into how the police keep us safe! 🚔 Thank you to Ellie and Joe 👮‍♀️👮‍♂️

Puffins finished their woodwork creations today🧵After weaving around their nail template, pupils collected flowers and plants to complete their beautiful nature vases. So many skills woven into one project! #EnterprisingCreative #nurture

Our Eco Council took part in an @EcoSchoolsWales live lesson on marvellous minibeasts this morning 🐝 Exploring biodiversity and the vital role of insects inspired us to think of how we can help care for our local environment.

Puffins had their first taste of woodworking, developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and perseverance. They carefully hammered nails into a vase-shape. Next, they will weave their designs before collecting flowers in the forest to complete their handmade vases

Puffins and Magpies went pond dipping at the allotment today and used ID charts to identify what they found. They were very excited to find lots of creatures including backswimmers, water boatmen and newts 🦎🕷#seizetheseason

Wow! We are so proud to have won our 16th Welsh Heritage award for our Dewch i Chwarae project exploring sport in Wales 😃

An amazing £746 was collected for school funds!

Our Summer Fete was a huge success with games, stalls, a raffle and lots more. Thank you to everyone that came along! Watch this space to see how much was raised for school funds 🤩

Our pupils enjoyed a special Armed Forces Day assembly today, learning about the important role our Armed Forces play and reflecting on the values of service, teamwork and dedication. 🇬🇧

Our ethical informed Eco Council brought their action plan to life by leading a community litter pick at Riverside Park this #CleanAirDay. They worked together to help keep our local area clean, showing responsibility and care for the environment 💪 🌎 ♻️

Citizens Advice were on hand for their monthly drop-in, supporting our community at the Bistro this afternoon ☕️ 🗣

Word of Mrs Pole's perfect paninis has spread with a very busy Bistro this afternoon. PCSO's Bev and Ellie popped in to chat about community issues too! 👮‍♀️

#WorldOceanDay in Dosbarth Wrens! We started the morning with some fun oracy tasks and were then inspired to get creative! We made aquarium diorama’s, explored colour mixing to create our own ‘ocean blue’, created lots of different sea animals, and pasta coral reefs 🐠 🪸

Paddington invited Dosbarth Wrens & Swifts to a teddy bears picnic! They wrote invitations, learnt the importance of clear instructions to make tasty marmalade sandwiches, and had fun in the sun with their friends, teddies and snacks ☀️🐻
