You have to decide to LIVE—forge ahead, put your blinders on, and never allow anyone to project their idea of who you are onto you and never be foolish enough to believe it. Move like a man who knows his value. When you walk into a room, the concrete should crack beneath your feet because of the certainty of your purpose. Still, remain humble enough to listen and open enough to receive ideas beyond your own. But when something doesn’t sit right in your spirit, it doesn’t matter how big the opportunity is or how much money is attached—trust your gut. Your heart, instincts and soul have never led you wrong. Some people will call it a missed opportunity because they want you to conform, bow down and accept their intentions for your life. Some will paint you as the villain just to cover their own tracks. Be quiet when silence protects your peace, and speak up when your spirit tells you it’s necessary. How comfortable are you with being misunderstood? How comfortable are you knowing the truth while people entertain themselves with a lie—their own perception of what happened, what was said or what actually took place? Can you go to sleep—not merely sleeping, but truly resting—because God has reassured you that He has you? Your heart is pure. You carry no ill will or malicious intent toward anyone. That is why God has marked you, blessed you and covered you. Stop losing sleep over how quickly someone else’s opportunities seem to arrive compared with your own timeline. Believe this: “THE GOD I SERVE WILL NEVER GIVE YOU SOMETHING SOMEBODY ELSE IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE.” What is yours is yours, and the timing of its arrival has already been established by the Kingdom. Run your race. If someone else’s blessing landed in your hands when it landed in theirs, you might not have been ready to carry it. God is pruning each of us in His own way and timing—preparing us to grow, evolve and spread our wings. Through the highs, lows and turbulence, remember: everything you endured and everything that tried to compromise your elevation was never the end of your story. It was all part of the process.
