Happy to announce JMIR #MentalHealth, https://t.co/TVLs3a1pl1, has been assigned an impact factor of 3.53. Over my years as editor, I know today is only possible bc of the fantastic papers you all submit, our editorial board, and the strong support of @jmirpub staff+ @eysenbach
Happy to announce that the presentation of our #chi2020 paper "Supporting the Supporters of Unaccompanied Migrant Youth: Designing for a Social-ecological Resilience" is now online - Thanks to @TEAM_ITN & my co-authors @t__michel@ozzulak@geri_fitz: https://t.co/HuIQkKWai3
All our leaders/managers need to send out principles like this - we are not working from home, we are at home, during a crisis, trying to work. Be kind to yourself!
Organized a webinar today with two clinical psychologists on studying effectively during Covid-19. Students were invited to join.
We discussed earlier how many participants Zoom would be able to handle. Turned out we didn't reach Zoom's capacity, as we had 0 participants.
My partner, a teacher, currently observes notable increase in the performance of some students; they flourish in distance learning after being detached from toxic classmates.
Another example how business as usual benefits some students and harms others.
@stephen_wigmore @Hitch_Slapping He must have been young (early 20s?) when he said that; he started out as a communist, partially no doubt in opposition to his very conservative dad. And while he kept referring to his listeners as ‘comrades’, his actual politics moved fairly to the center in later life.
@MadameOrrocks One option https://t.co/I76mvQ1gnp. It's a free sandbox for boardgames. Each player could write down five words on a card each, shuffle them on the virtual table and draw them from the top.
(Also, lots of potential for other games.)
@FabianZuleeg@anneapplebaum@derspiegel This goes to show that the solidarity between our countries is not as easily broken as a few contracts and memberships.
I have no doubt that, if the shoe were on the other foot, the UK would have done the same for us.
Just spoke with my girlfriend about those people who set fire to 5g stations because they think it spreads covid-19, and she misspoke and called them not 'conspiracy theorists' but 'conspiracy terrorists'.
And I gotta say, 'conspiracy terrorists' is actually a great name.
@mirandarwolpert Moral philosophers better get on deconstructing the whole "don't worry, it only kills elderly and people with preexisting conditions" line of argument, and the fact that people could utter such vile, reprehensible statements in public without immediately being shouted down.
