A lady shared that she had been out of work for 9 months and had gone through multiple interviews with no success. Then, a friend referred her to a company and to her surprise, they skipped the interview process entirely because of the strength of that referral. I have recently been accepted into the @GoogleDevExpert (GDE) Program as a GDE for Google Cloud under the Category , Cloud AI.

The Google Developer Experts Program is a way Google recognizes and supports professionals who have deep knowledge in a certain technology and are using it to actively support help their communities by sharing their experience, and providing valuable feedback to Google.

My career has been intertwined between Cloud and AI technologies since the beginning and I feel incredibly proud and honored to now be part of the folks that Google recognizes as experts in that field.

It has always made me happier and given me a stronger sense of purpose to innovate, teach and share in and with the community rather than just for it and now I get to even do even more 🚀🚀.

From Leading the @gdgkabarakuni where we hosted the first ever Google I/O Extended Student Edition then supported by @DijaAbdul , then the Google Crowdsource Chapter still Kabarak University then supported by @TabithaKavyu & @verma_aish . Just checked and I’m still featured on the Crowdsource Community Page(https://t.co/lXOJfIYIYB) 😂.

Then to now Leading the @GDG_Nairobi and supporting the @GDG_Pwani Community where we are bringing together amazing developers to Learn , Build and Grow. And serving as the Regional Exceutor for @blackpythondevs in East Africa. Not forgetting all the amazing Python, Django and Open Source Communities and conferences I have been part of and will always be part of.

A huge thanks to the @_jkimani , @DeniseAllela ,@Geektutor , @janise_tan ,@boredabdel and the team for the seamless application process and the tremendous support and mentorship Pius Kevin Mafabi offered all throughout the application process.
