What Does It Take To Slay a Dragon? By @becxh
11-20 June @53two
When Billy is asked to take his England flag out of his work van, it starts a chain of events that change his life forever - only this play isn’t just about Billy. It’s about all of us.

Really interesting part of the conversation about right left, class, race, getting offended and protest. Also hope. I think this exploration was very well performed, written and told.
I had the opportunity to see #WhatDoesItTakeToSlayADragon@takebacktheatre@53two yesterday. Thought-provoking urgent theatre with innovative staging whose themes sit and percolate for hours after. Great work by all involved.
People of Greater Manchester and around listen up. This play by @takebacktheatre@53two is outstanding. You really should go. But only if you like well written theatre that makes you think. Otherwise, don’t bother.
‘a fierce, unflinching look at radicalisation in modern Britain’
Thanks @ILoveMCR.

Writers drop in underway at @53two - today we’re doing an exercise called every ending is another beginning… using the last lines of plays without context as a starting point - that could be as the first line of a story, a monologue or the inspiration that kicks off a new scene!
Writers Drop-Ins are back this week at @53two
Thursday and Sunday 2-4
Becx has some new exercises to help you get inspired or bring along your own writing.
We’ll have a power hour of writing and some time to share. All experience levels welcome. Free to attend. See you there!
