From new experiences to new connections, Beyond the Block gave youth a place to learn, have fun, and grow. 💛
Through the Sprout Ideas Fellowship, Imani Abukar brought youth together for a six-week program focused on building confidence, making connections, and exploring new interests.
Youth heard from a photographer, director, jeweller, and former NCAA athlete, and got to take part in experiences like rock climbing, Treetop Trekking, and a day at The Rec Room. It was a chance to try things they may not have had access to before, meet new people, and start thinking about what’s possible for their futures.
