Today's announcement on LNG Phase II is long-delayed good news. But this project got its permit a decade ago, because of the Harper government. Bad Liberal policies delayed its construction, which has still not begun.

Over the same period, the U.S. built, not announced but built, 9 LNG terminals. Germany built an LNG import terminal in 194 days.

Instead of taking credit for work done by others long ago, Carney should explain why it took him so long to do so little.

For over a year I have been pushing legislation to prevent this disgusting and dangerous practice of giving leniency to non citizens convicted of serious crimes to stop their deportation.
