Salcines Park is re-OPEN! Thanks to funding by the @tampacra, this West Tampa park has been fully revitalized. Together with CRA Board members, Judge E. J. Salcines, @tampaparksrec & community members, we celebrated the redesign of this historic park with a ribbon cutting.

#DYK? An estimated 2,500 kids have participated in the Pepperjack Kids Running Program over the last decade. @tampaparksrec trains them to be able to run the last 2 miles of the Gasparilla Half Marathon. About 275 kids are involved this year!

NOW OPEN - two PAWSitively perfect new dog parks in Curtis Hixon Park!🐶 Thanks to collaboration with @tampaparksrec, @tampacra, & @TampaMuseumArt, we've opened ~7K sqft for pups to explore. These new dedicated small & large dog areas feature shade structures & water fountains.
As of February 5, there is an advisory for Davis Islands Beach, which rated poor because of high levels of fecal bacteria. The advisory will remain in effect until at least February 12, when the next test results will be available.
Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park and the adjacent stretch of Riverwalk from the Marriott to the Tampa Bay History Center will have no lights because of an electrical repair Feb. 9-13. Restrooms also will be closed. Reminder that Tampa’s splash pads are closed until it gets warmer. 🌞
