Mojo Jojo was technically Professor Utonium’s first son 🥺

Roger L. Jackson, the voice of Mojo Jojo in The Powerpuff Girls, shared an emotional tribute following the passing of Tom Kane, the voice of Professor Utonium.

In the series, Mojo Jojo actually has a deep connection to Professor Utonium, before becoming the iconic villain, he was the Professor’s lab assistant monkey named Jojo.

Because Jojo lived with Professor Utonium before the Powerpuff Girls were created, many fans jokingly refer to him as the Professor’s “first son” before Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were born 🥺

After Tom Kane’s passing, Roger L. Jackson wrote: “He was a gentleman and a gentle man. Always kind, & open. A pleasure to work with, a privilege to know.”

His message reflects not only the bond between their characters in the show, but also the respect and friendship they shared behind the scenes.

For many fans, it feels like Mojo Jojo saying goodbye to Professor Utonium one last time 💔
