Friends?
Please listen to your bodies. If something feels "off", get it checked out.
I could have easily lost my husband this week.
He's home now. We will be setting appts with a whole team of folks.
We were lucky. Many aren't.
For the record, Florida has the lowest paid teachers in the country.
Teacher salaries in New York State are 2X Florida salaries.
Florida’s average SAT score is second lowest in the country.
Our budget is lean.
Student knowledge is, too.
27 years of GOP failing our children.
My friend Dustin has created some really cool #Garmin watch faces / tools.
His Facebook page tells you more, but think mythology, runes, relics - all on your wrist!
Go explore. Share. Acquire.

The failed adoption? I've been working that for over a year.
The claw back is new, but on it's second letter, and it's an intent to levy, so we're trying to get that resolved ASAP.
The PPS calls are unlikely today.
I have a 1pm, a 3pm and a 4:30.
I have an agent looking into what the deal is on call #1, finally, but this phone has had this line open for over 2 hours so far. I'm on my third "5-7 minute" hold with the agent.
Now holding for the IRS on an issue we spoke about in July that they gave us a 30 day time frame on.
NEXT will be PPS (fingers crossed) to figure out why they are clawing back a legit refund and also what they want me to do with the failed adoption that they kicked back.
@jennifer40iu Just another day in tax.
People wonder why it takes so long for resolution.
Phone calls are 2+ hours, 85-90% of which is on hold.
Send a letter? Minimum 30 days to get a response. This call? Because nothing happened after the 30 days that we were told on the July call.
@DustinDopirak I'm mostly feeling a little archaic, but that will happen when you start thinking about CoverItLive and BlogTalkRadio and such. (Also, last night I was reading about a parent talking about Y2K, and oof.)
BUT YOU, SIR. YOU.
Congratulations to you & MJ!
All these new pods hitting the streets, and I've just fallen down some blogspot rabbit holes. (Trying to not get overly involved in anything critical while holding for my friends at the IRS.)
Really OLD stuff. Big Mike. "Pops" Payton. Looked for the Hoosier Scoop - no dice.

Today is for calls.
So many calls.
Already talked to Indiana, who didn't bother to scan in the tax return I was calling about, so no Schedule 7, so despite the negative taxable income having tax due, I wasn't able to discuss or resolve it for the taxpayer. Love THAT, @INRevenue
Watched this earlier - some great stories.
Also reminded me I should tell my husband about my NIL Meal commitment. He's in.
Now we're watching the Championship with Don & Buck's radio call.
I'm enjoying all of this. Still, again, etc.
Libby has been a tax pro within our organization for over 30 years. She works with the kids and even some grandkids of clients she has had for literal decades. One of our OG tax school instructors, she continues to learn and challenge herself as tax laws and technology change.
We hosted our friends from @WHCC105 this week for an #iufb yard sign handout. The highlight for us? Celebrating our own Libby receiving Tax Preparer of the Year from @jacksonhewitt for our region! We surprised her on air with the announcement & her plaque!
Week One of the new spot is going to be a late start. Son's work schedule means we likely won't tailgate that game. It will let me time our new hike from parking to seats, which will be critical intel.
But YOU GUYS. We are SO CLOSE to #iufb!
@Hoosierfans98@CrimsonCast@gnybarra I hadn't really planned on all in one day, but... A Becker DD for breakfast (egg & bacon on it, obvs).
Squeak lunch in before dinner of ribeye and sides?
I might be able to pull it off, frankly. #ThisGirlEATS
