There should be NO carbon taxes in Canada.
It doesn’t matter what label politicians slap on their carbon tax, Canadian carbon taxes make life more expensive, hurt our economy and don’t work.

The Saskatchewan government spent a billion dollars over budget in 2025-26.
Taxpayers can't afford a government that keeps breaking its spending promises.
The government is wasting hundreds of millions of dollars per year on debt interest payments because it repeatedly failed to control spending and keeps borrowing more money.

Federal bureaucracy grew twice as fast as the population that pays for it.
Feds added 86,000 bureaucrats since 2016 (up 33%). Canada’s population grew 15%.
Taxpayers would save $7 billion if the bureaucracy grew with population.
More bureaucrats. Worse service. Bigger bill.
Taxpayers need a guarantee that they will not be forced to bail out this project when the bill comes due.
If they can fundraise the money and keep the costs low that’s one thing, but Carney shouldn’t force taxpayers to bail out the project if it misses targets or costs balloon.
Question from reporter (paraphrase): What do you expect the new budget and cost of the 24 Sussex renovation to be?
Carney: "I don't want to be too forward on what the budget is for this."
So is there a cap on how much taxpayers could be on the hook for?
Well yeah, of course that’s what the prime minister is going to say.
He’s not going to say, “Folks, we’re taking your money and bailing out developers.”
But don’t buy their spin: The government is bailing out developers with your money.

Government grocery stores won't make life more affordable but they will cost taxpayers cartloads of cash in bailouts.
Governments need to cut taxes to provide relief.
FRONT PAGE of the National Post:
High-speed rail executives take taxpayer-funded bonuses even though they haven’t laid any track and don’t even know the train’s route.
Every executive took a bonus, for an average bonus of $68,500.
End the taxpayer-funded bonuses!
No train yet, but Alto rail project execs still got $2.8 million in bonuses last year from Ottawa, according to government records reviewed by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation
“Government bureaucrats don’t deserve bonuses before they finish their work, so they definitely don’t deserve bonuses before they even start their work,” said CTF federal director Franco Terrazzano https://t.co/fTyz8xPxml
Polling shows that 84 per cent of Saskatchewanians want a heritage fund.
Saskatchewanians know how important saving is and want the government to stop wasting the province's resource wealth.
It's time for Premier Scott Moe to pay down the debt and set up a heritage fund!
Globe and Mail editorial: Ottawa should bail on its plan to bail out condo developers
"There are misguided policies, there are disastrously misguided policies, and then there are inexplicably disastrous misguided policies.
The federal Liberals' plan to intervene in the British Columbia real estate market vaults well over that line."

Carney and Eby must back away from the bailout now!
"There’s no good reason for government to bail out the owners of vacant condos in B.C.
This plan... could waste taxpayer dollars and undercut the competition needed to help bring home prices down."

Taxpayers shouldn't be bailing out developers!
Apparently even developers weren't asking for this:
"We did not advocate for it. We did not ask for it ... I am not sure the government should be buying them."
What is the government thinking? This is BRUTAL.
