180 years ago, Taylor University was established. Originally founded as the Fort Wayne Female College, the University later acquired the name Taylor University in 1890 in honor of Bishop William Taylor.

Friday Fun Fact:
In 1915, Taylor purchased 70 acres, which later became the Taylor Farm (yes, Taylor had a farm!). The farm housed a large herd of cattle, which produced 80 gallons of milk each day for the Dining Commons.
