It was an honour to address the Graduation Day for the 2024 @TeachForIndia Fellowship cohort, a celebration of purpose & leadership. A powerful reminder of the impact TFI creates, 1 leader, 1 classroom at a time. Congratulations @shaheenmistri, Meher Pudumjee & Anu Aga.
"But what is the #MA program actually about?"
So here is the answer from someone who has worked from the ground up on designing this program for you. Nalika breaks down what the #program really offers, what you will learn, and how it connects directly to your classroom.
#masters #degree
Special note: This is a first-of-its-kind Fellowship that offers a #Master’s #degree alongside it. While the Fellowship itself remains open to all, the #MA program has limited seats. Anyone selected for the #Fellowship can express their interest in the MA program. Final selections for the MA Program will happen at a later stage.

“What’s so special about the Master’s degree integrated with the Teach For India Fellowship?”
Many of you have been asking us this question.
So we took it straight to our CEO, Shaheen and here's what she had to say.
#Mastersdegree
Neetika then launched a #Career Immersion Camp with 18 professionals, hands‑on sessions, and mentorship through Claylab. Confidence soared. Marksheets improved, but more importantly, mindsets transformed. That “Thank you, Didi” was real change.
Neetika Aggarwal, Teach For India Fellow in Delhi, heard a student say: “Didi, ab mujhe sach mein samajh aa gaya hai aapne pichhle saal humare liye kya kiya tha. Thank you, Didi.” That clarity didn’t come easy. It was built on care, persistence, and belief.
She partnered with counsellors, introduced MBTI reflections, and took students to ITI College to see #vocational#courses in action. Careers stopped being distant titles, they became tangible possibilities. #Aspirations shifted, ownership grew.
The RCC, SLFJPS, is hosting a career exploration workshop with @TeachForIndia!

For Stefan, the work continues where it started — in school. Paying attention to what children see, read, and carry with them into the world. Like 40+ other Fellows, he is supported by @Oracle India. Thank you, Oracle, for powering this journey.
Meet Mathew Stefan T., a Teach For India #Fellow in #Bangalore. The first time he noticed an error in a school textbook, it seemed small : a misspelt word, a missing punctuation mark.
From this realisation, Errata was born. A crowdsourced initiative where 80+ #volunteers proofread state‑issued #textbooks, one page at a time. What began in one #classroom has grown into collaborations with state bodies and officials.
A health crisis reminded her she wasn’t alone. #Community and care stepped in when family couldn’t. Today, Anushka believes change isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about showing up, staying honest, and growing through discomfort.
Anushka Banerjee, a Teach For India Fellow in #Pune, joined the Fellowship knowing the #education system was unequal because she had lived it. From under-resourced schools to unheard voices, she carried the weight of what was missing. But she learnt to trust herself.
As the #Fellowship continued, Anushka stopped hiding her background & began owning her story. She learned to pause instead of react, to lead with #empathy, and to #trust herself in moments of uncertainty.
