The soldiers would love to trade places with Khanna’s constituents in Silicon Valley, spending their time building the next great company, instead of what he’s making them spend their time on, babysitting a petulant foreigner who devalues all lives in the area for political expediency.
In the end, they’ll build those companies and Khanna will make his next fortune buying stock in them, if he’s lucky.
civilization > barbarity ✡️❤️🇮🇱🕊🇺🇸
There are over 2,000,000 GenZ’s in Israel.
As @DouglasKMurray observed, compared to Western peers, they’re more dedicated to family and country, and with significant leadership experience, because they don’t have a choice. They are the future CEOs who everyone else will report to.
“If we have to choose between hosting an immature influencer with poor impulse control and having a bad image, we’ll take the bad image”
I think it’s always important to share this.
Absolutely brilliant from 2014 by Joan Rivers on Israel and the “Palestinians”
No mincing of words. We really lost a real one with her.
The bit at end about Selena Gomez gets me every time 😂
@KathrynPaisner From now on these conversations should only be had on cruise ships sailing aimlessly through the Mediterranean without a place to dock. Patti Lupone will be crooning softly in the background.
Pandering to a hostile individual who insists he alone can fix a problem … where has that been tried before?
Any of us would prefer the media to showcase Israel’s GenZ’s, who are as looksmaxxed, have shown more dedication, leadership, and worthiness. This person will eventually be working for one of them because they’ll be the CEOs of his future.
@margbrennan what led you to defend J Street in your aggressive interview with Israel's Ambassador?
J St doesn't consider itself "Jewish."
It's not even part of the 50÷ members of the Conf. of Presidents of American Jewish Orgs.
J St really opposes the Israel its voters chose.
Incredulous that someone at her level (“Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent”) is so misinformed on the landscape she’s supposed to be covering, after almost 3 years of being able to not be misinformed. It’s like saying “North Koreans have Korean in their name.”
Alternatively she’s not misinformed and intentionally misleading the audience. Hope @bariweiss can get a handle on this lack of integrity.
I heard the gay cruise full of Americans couldn’t dock in Egypt or Turkey, so here’s a quick guide to cruising the region:
🇹🇷 Pride marches outlawed since 2015
🇪🇬 Egypt: no law against being gay — they just jail you for “debauchery” instead
🇸🇾 Syria: up to 3 years in prison for being gay
🇱🇧 Lebanon: up to 1 year in prison for being gay
🇮🇶 Iraq: up to 15 years in prison for being gay under a law passed in 2024
🇮🇷 Iran: death penalty for being gay
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia: death penalty for being gay
🇾🇪 Yemen: death penalty for being gay
🇶🇦 Qatar: up to 7 years in prison for being gay
🇵🇸 Gaza: up to 10 years in prison for being gay
🇮🇱 Israel: Tel Aviv Pride welcomes 250,000 people every year.
What happened at @startupfest yesterday was antisemitism. Pure & simple. Disguised under a thin veil of advocacy, and everyone in the room saw right through it.
I was on stage with Georges St-Pierre talking about entrepreneurship. Not politics. A man burst in screaming horrible accusations at me anyway. Third time in 2 years, including at the opening of a Jewish community centre.
My parents were in the front row. I'll never forget their faces.
When the target is always the Jew and never the topic, it's not advocacy. It's hate.
The room booed him down and cheered as he was walked out. I'm grateful for that.
Hate got escorted out. We got right back to building.
@tedeytan@plramirez Be happy that you live in the US.
We in Europe are much closer to the “tolerance” tipping point.
The lively gay area of my 20s is now almost entirely in “tolerant” hands.
@KrischanWolf@plramirez Cognitive dissonance is a difficult malady for some to recover from….
Meanwhile, no comments from the human rights orgs feeding the narrative that these nations are tolerant.
More important is the lack of historical perspective — the ignorance. Many Americans, especially the youngs, are blinded by the enormous success of America. They cannot fathom a world without the comforts and security only recently made possible by the forces they rail against.
