Chaired a comprehensive review of the Telangana Special Battalions at Headquarters in Jubilee Hills today.
Inspected the administrative wings, communication systems, armoury and infrastructure works before reviewing key presentations from senior officers.
Our Special Battalions have always stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Civil Police from the anti-Naxal era to recent rescue efforts during the Nizamabad and Kamareddy floods. That legacy of courage continues to inspire me.
Issued directions to:
Expedite filling of vacant posts.
Strengthen technological capabilities & vehicle availability.
Improve residential quarters, drinking water & healthcare facilities.
Ensure transparent, fair duty allocation.
Strengthen 'Mitra' Counselling Centres for personnel facing stress.
Run awareness drives against drug abuse and online betting, with a counselling-first approach.
Build a strategy for suicide prevention through early intervention and support.
Also reviewed proposals for new Special Battalions in Future City and Amangal for future readiness.
Our personnel are the backbone of this force. Their welfare and training will always remain a top priority as we move forward with modernisation and technology-driven policing.

Be accessible to citizens. Respond to grievances promptly. Deliver justice in a manner that is fair, transparent, and lawful. Lead your teams by example and reflect the core values of Telangana Police in every decision you make.
Protecting the lives, property, and rights of our citizens is not just a duty, it is our greatest calling.

The fight against drugs is not the responsibility of the police alone it is a collective movement that requires the active participation of every section of society.
My article on the growing threat of drugs, the preventive measures being undertaken, and the proactive initiatives of the Telangana Police has been published in Eenadu.

Attended the 52nd PRAGATI meeting chaired by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji today, alongside Telangana Chief Secretary Shri K. Ramakrishna Rao and senior officials from across the state and Centre.
Apart from several infrastructure projects , the PM focused on cyber crimes and digital arrest frauds. His direction was clear that Central agencies, State Governments, law enforcement, banks, and digital platforms must operate as one coordinated force against cyber-enabled crime.

Today, I attended a high-level review meeting at Dr. Marri Channa Reddy HRD Institute, Jubilee Hills, to review arrangements for the upcoming Mahankali Bonalu festivities.

Today, on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking - 2026, I had the honour of inaugurating the Anti-Drug Awareness Week organised by the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate at the ICCC, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
The fight against drugs is not just a police priority it is a societal responsibility. I want to be very clear, the deadline is now. I have asked every officer, from Home Guard level to DGP, to remain committed to this fight so that our own children do not fall prey to it.
What was once a transit point for drug trafficking has now become a consumption zone. Post-COVID, drug consumption has risen in both urban and rural areas. Our children are being targeted traffickers are going as far as mixing narcotics in chocolates and biscuits to hook young minds. This is nothing short of an anti-national activity.
This is more dangerous than terrorism or Naxalism today and we must treat it with the same urgency. If there is no demand, there will be no supply. Reducing demand is our collective responsibility.
I took an oath today along with my officers and the students present eradicating drugs is our priority, and EAGLE Force is in full action. We are working in close coordination with the School Education Department, DRI, Enforcement Directorate, and Customs to tackle this at every level.
The Education Department has been asked to establish Anti-Drug Safety Clubs in every educational institution. Schools that fail to comply will risk losing their recognition.
I urge every parent to monitor their children closely, and appeal to families and society to help rehabilitate addicts through de-addiction centres. Keeping our youth away from drugs is the foundation for a golden future of our nation.
Together, we will build a drug-free Telangana.

Spoke today at the Times Network India Health Summit 2026, on "Resilient Leaders - Balancing Elite Physical Fitness and Agility in High-Stress Roles."
Policing demands unpredictable hours and constant pressure, fitness often takes a backseat after recruitment. My message to every officer is to give at least one hour a day to your physical and mental health. It's not only about looking smart in uniform, it's about staying healthy enough that even your belt hole doesn't change over the next three decades.
Cricket shaped my discipline, I played at the junior and senior state levels and sport taught me leadership, teamwork, and mental toughness that carried into policing. long years in Naxal-affected Nizamabad, Warangal, and Adilabad reinforced that composure under pressure matters as much as fitness.
My own routine - cricket, tennis, golf , yoga, stretching , and lots of weight training and cutting back on the 4 whites -sugar, salt, rice, and maida. With discipline and time management, fitness is possible through even the most busiest and toughest career.
Physical strength, mental resilience, self-discipline are non-negotiables for high-stress professions

In 2015, when I was CP - Cyberabad, we ran a pilot that made Cyberabad the passport verification record-holder in India.
That conviction that technology can transform citizen services never left.
Today, that same vision has scaled into VeriFast, powering 8.67 lakh verifications across Telangana, and earning us a 7th national award from the Ministry of External Affairs.
Proud of how far we've come. And more determined than ever to keep going.

Following recent monsoon-induced disruptions across Cyberabad, a deeper analysis revealed that the Irrigation Department which controls inflows, outflows, and sluice gates of all lakes is a critical stakeholder in flood management.
On the initiative of Government Advisor Shri Sudarshan Reddy garu an emergency coordination meeting was convened and officials from Police, Traffic, GHMC, Irrigation, HYDRAA, and Municipal departments followed by a joint inspection of key waterlogging points across the region. I joined in too to add focus to this area troubling citizens.
Special engineering teams have been constituted to conduct field inspections at Malkam Cheruvu, Khajaguda Lake, Miyapur, Biodiversity Junction, Kondapur, and other flood-prone locations to assess drainage issues and recommend both immediate and long-term solutions.
Flood and traffic management requires seamless inter-departmental coordination. For Police, the SOP is clear remain on ground, identify alternate routes, monitor flood-prone areas, and ensure swift interventions.

Attended an emergency review meeting today at Malkampet, chaired by Govt Advisor Shri Sudarshan Reddy, in line with the directions of Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy to assess monsoon preparedness and measures to prevent waterlogging, urban flooding, and traffic disruptions across Hyderabad.
The meeting brought together senior officials from GHMC, HYDRAA, Cyberabad Police, Irrigation, and other key departments for a coordinated response ahead of heavy rainfall.
Telangana Police is fully prepared. Our teams are maintaining round-the-clock surveillance in low-lying areas, flood-prone localities, and major traffic junctions. Alternative routes are being identified and timely public advisories will be issued as needed. Emergency response mechanisms are on standby for swift deployment.
Stressed upon all departments the need for close inter-departmental coordination because effective flood management is a collective responsibility. Special engineering teams have been deployed for ground inspections across critical locations including Malkam Cheruvu, Khajaguda Lake, Biodiversity Junction, Kondapur, and Miyapur region to assess drainage, encroachments, and water flow channels.
Zero tolerance for negligence or complacency. Public safety is our foremost priority this monsoon season and we will ensure every citizen receives timely assistance.
All police units across the State have been directed to remain on full alert until the end of the rainy season.
