A huge shoutout to the amazing fifth-grade Cougar Crew at Sampson-Howard Elementary. These students start their morning serving their school by helping to open car doors, guiding and greeting students in the hallways, and lending a hand with cafeteria cleanup.

Mrs. Juroska’s fifth-grade scientists at Sampson-Howard Elementary explored how a reaction between vinegar and baking soda can inflate a balloon! 🎈

Students began by making their predictions and then worked together to conduct their experiment. They observed the properties of solids, liquids and gases while watching a chemical reaction happen right before their eyes! Way to go! #TempleISDproud.

Students at Garcia Elementary are developing essential social-emotional skills through engaging, hands-on learning!

During Ms. Lowe’s first Social-Emotional Learning lesson of the year, students practiced breathing techniques, created charts to explore and track the Zones of Regulation, and strengthened their communication skills by sharing, listening, and taking turns during circle time.

These meaningful everyday experiences help students identify their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and build confidence when communicating with others. #Templeisdproud

Ali graduated from University of Houston as a scholar and top-tier track athlete and is now pursuing PT School and works in Rehab in Temple.
