This flag pole is only half way complete. Our engineers were waiting for our crane to arrive from abroad to finish it. It's going to be the tallest in Eastern Africa! Rather than salaries and exorbitant allowances money should be spent in making our Fatherland Uganda great!
Despite the tyranny of numbers that overwhelmed us, we declare that ours was not a numerical challenge but a moral challenge. We took up a fight everyone was cowering from and faced attacks from many quarters including from friends blinded by short term considerations. Many counseled me to throw in the towel fearing the outcome of the ballot. When the counting started, one MP told me that due to strict partisan voting I would be lucky to get ten votes. I put my seat on the line by telling him that if I got less than ten votes I would resign from Parliament. That aside, despite the opposition we faced, the fight was worthwhile. Thanks to the power of outrage fueled by many patriots, Parliament can breathe again. Our collective efforts brought a gush of fresh air in Parliament.
Kateshumbwa Dick(sons), I’ve been told you were talking BS about me at capital gang. I am waiting for my person to send me what you said and ofcourse I’ll come to you with a reply that befits your stealthy ways!
Much easier if you just come clean my G!
Me I know which people are hiding the money! I also know people that know where exactly the money is at! People like Afoyocan, Mubangizi Dedan, Kateshumbwa and Anyakun Esther should not waste anyone’s time!
Involve us and we shall find the loot!
Of the Bad Natives, COO is the baddest. As for Andrew Mwenda, he puts a mirror before us and we don’t like what we see then we roast him. But the mirror is innocent.
Rt. Hon. @Thomas_Tayebwa is a friend to many, and I wish him the very best of luck. You truly deserve every success that comes your way. Your kindness and hardworking spirit continue to distinguish you, and your character speaks for you even in rooms where you are absent.
To all Members of 12th Parliament, kindly rally behind and support our PLU cadre and a staunch supporter of Gen. @mkainerugaba 💪
Am disappointed by this man, what did you want Mao to do honestly for Acholi ,how did you want to benefit from his salary allowances and wages! separate government authority from individual service, i should say ,Mao Family has benefited from ,he is only supposed to care for his family..no one can benefit from me other than my family..Nonsense
The Senegal Situation in Ugandan Terms.
To paint the Senegal situation in Ugandan terms, imagine Bobi Wine is jailed for saying something mean to President Museveni and that conviction bars him from running for President.
Then Joel Ssenyonyi steps up, rides Bobi Wine’s coat-tails and wins.
Then Bobi becomes Ssenyonyi’s Prime Minister and continues to govern like he run his populist campaign.
Uganda wants IMF debt but IMF says first settle or restructure the debt your previous government took.
Ssenyonyi and his Finance Minister bite the bullet and work on restructuring. It’s not ideal but pragmatism wins the day. The country has to be saved from economic ruin.
Bobi Wine, the Prime Minister, says “no we the people of Uganda didn’t sign up for that debt and in fact we didn’t sign up for all these austerity measures, tax on fuel to help support education, healthcare and stem economic collapse. We didn’t sign up for any of that and the people power movement whose mandate you Joel, rode to victory is against that. This is an administration by people power committee so forget it Mr Ssenyonyi.”
Suddenly, the country hits a fork in the road; it seems to have two Presidents and the situation is untenable.
What would you do if you were Ssenyonyi the President?
Fire your Prime Minister and live with the consequences.
That, in a nutshell, is what appears to be happening in Senegal.
Thank you for your attention to my hangover-ridden Ted-talk.
