Some people think sustainability = less turf.
Reality: it’s about BETTER turf.
Decades of testing shows drought-tolerant TifTuf Bermudagrass can dramatically cut #water use without sacrificing performance.
The future isn’t turfgrass removal...it’s smarter selection.
How much water does TifTuf save over older bermudagrass cultivars?
136,000 gallons per acre/per year.

Had the opportunity for my last signature on the #GCSAACentennialFlag as I met with @GeorgiaGCSA President Chris Steigelman, CGCS, at The Landings in Savannah. Thank all the chapter presidents in my region for your time and your leadership!! #Onward
I did pen this to Leslie...
Happy Mother’s Day to the woman whose love did far more than raise a son…
You nurtured a heart.
You built a home.
You gave Micah something every child longs for — the unwavering confidence that he was deeply loved.
From the earliest moments…
From helping him learn, holding him close, comforting him, guiding him, laughing with him, and loving him through every season…
You were there.
You didn’t just become Micah’s mom…
You became his safe place.
His teacher.
His encourager.
His protector.
His greatest earthly example of grace, patience, and unconditional love.
These photos tell a story words can barely hold…
A mother who chose presence.
A mother who gave her arms when he needed comfort…
Her lap when he needed rest…
Her wisdom when he needed guidance…
And her heart in every single moment.
Leslie, you loved Micah with the fierce tenderness only a Godly mother can give.
You embraced him, championed him, prayed over him, and poured your life into his.
And though today carries both gratitude and grief…
What remains undeniable is this:
Micah was blessed beyond measure by YOU.
Your love helped shape his smile.
Your strength helped shape his courage.
Your faith helped shape his story.
And that love… still echoes.
To watch you with Micah was to witness something holy —
A glimpse of God’s nurturing love through a mother’s hands.
Thank you for being the very best mom.
Thank you for every hug, every lesson, every prayer, every sacrifice.
Thank you for loving Micah so beautifully.
Your motherhood is one of the greatest gifts his life ever knew.
Happy Mother’s Day, Leslie.
Micah’s life was forever better because he had you.
And all of us who witnessed it know…
There is simply no one like a mother’s love.
For Old Times Sake! I used to post where we were at with the membership numbers on my office window. I thought I would update where we are on my last day with @GCSAA. Love you all!
It’s official! Colleen and I are Grandma and Grandpa. Mom and baby are healthy, dad survived, and our hearts are full. We are incredibly blessed. What a gift. Let the journey begin — I can’t wait to take him climbing.
Scott served with heart and a deep appreciation for this profession. He cared about people, about superintendents, and about GCSAA. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Extremely honored to represent the 21,000+ @GCSAA members as the 89th President. We will continue to work throughout our centennial celebration year to advance our association and promote our membership.
“It’s the most satisfying part of my life. Those relationships, … that’s my treasure.”

My stepdad, Greg, never said 'I love you.' He was a hard man. Worked construction. Came home, ate, slept. He paid for my college. He paid for my car. But he never hugged me. I always thought he resented me. I wasn't his real son. Greg died of a heart attack last week. I was cleaning out his truck. In the glove box, I found a worn-out notebook. It was a diary. Entry 1: Met a woman with a boy today. The boy looks sad. I want to make him smile. Entry 50: The boy needs braces. Picking up extra shifts. Entry 200: He graduated today. I stayed in the back so I wouldn't embarrass him with my dirty work clothes. I've never been prouder. Entry 500: I wish I knew how to talk to him. I just hope he knows I’d die for him. I sat in the driver's seat of his dusty truck and cried until I couldn't breathe. He didn't say it. He did it. Every single day. Love isn't always words. Sometimes, it’s calloused hands and a tired back.

Leslie and I didn't realize that this moment in time would be a prelude to Micah running into the arms of his Heavenly Father. We are so grateful for the time that the Lord gave us here on earth with this precious boy. We love you so deeply my son, we cling to the truth of knowing and trusting we will be united with you in heaven for eternity.
