And the teachers said that these were low-class jobs in society, so we should study hard so we wouldn't be like them, indirectly dehumanizing this group of people. All the children taught this way grow up to despise them, even not considering them human, and if they are unemployed, they would rather do nothing than do those jobs because they consider them low-class.
