25 years later and I am still furious.

On September 11, 2001, Islamist terrorists attacked the United States. Those actions killed 2996 people in a handful of hours, and today Americans exposed to the poisoned air left behind have suffered and died at a horrific rate. To date, more than 9000 people have died as a direct result of the 9/11 attacks, from cancers and other illnesses.

We fought a war to send the message that these actions would not be tolerated. We swore we would never forget. Thousands live today with the consequences of those attacks. It horrifies me how complacent we have become, while the Islamist agenda has not changed.

Watching this happen 25 years ago, I was angry and ready to fight (and I did!). Remembering it today, I feel the same way. #9/11 #neverforget
