There is an active large-scale DDoS attack on TETR.​IO (more than 1.3 Tbps peak). Servers seem operational but we have noticed occasional 502 Bad Gateway errors. Our apologies for the inconvenience!

@4BYSSOPEL4GIC Running the Desktop client? The latest update (v10) enables VSync for everyone, which is usually more stable, but for some people gives more input lag. Try turning VSync back off! You can go to Config→Desktop to do so. Remember to close and reopen the client after!

@wakiwakr The latest version of the Desktop client enabled VSync for all users — maybe that's what you're running into? Either way, try turning VSync off (you'll have to close and reopen the client afterwards). Turning off VSync has mixed results, so try both!

@julesdoesntjuul The most recent Desktop release enabled VSync by default for everyone. Try turning it back off (you'll need to restart the client after), let me know if that helps! Also, check if the game is using your GPU (hit F8 and see)!

@imrrobat If you got surprised by ads suddenly appearing, we had been running without ads for a couple weeks due to issues w/ our previous ad provider. If all else fails, use uBlock Origin or disable ads in the Desktop client -- or of course, become a Supporter. Thank you!

@imrrobat We unfortunately, like most of the Internet, need to run ads to pay our staff. If an ad is inhibiting/covering gameplay, please let us know! We try to run ads in a way that doesn't harm the game (no 30s video ads etc.) We'll look into options surrounding the bottom ad.

We're not even getting paid for these ads, the ad provider is defaulting on us, so no worries

while we'd love to not need to monetize, the fact is that we have to, to pay staff, artists, server bills, etc!
though if you really want, you can turn ads off in that same settings page
