@SynthPotato@NotKierStarmer Personally, as a PC gamer, if I had an Xbox, all I'd be thinking while playing it would be " I could be having an objectively better experience on PC."
@TheHiddenOneAC In retrospect it's easy to look at AC2 and say that it played it safe. But back in 2009, I don't think Ubisoft figured out their formula yet.
AC1 sold really well at the time, literally changing anything about the original's formula was risky.
@mrpyo1 Thing is, Returnal wasn't that hard compared to the average Roguelike. It was harder than the average AAA game, though. Which was probably a turn off for most people, since most people who played that game have probably never played a roguelike.
@SynthPotato This seem like the kind of game that'd be great to pick up a few months to a year from launch after it gets patched.
Based on the mixed reception, I don't think I'd be confortable spending $70 on it, ESPECIALLY in this economy.
@SynthPotato I mean, the 1.0 version of GTA 5 on PS3 was like 9GB. And that included the entire single player campaign, all the radio stations (from launch), side missions, and the game didn't look like that...
@NikTekOfficial What ? Who's ever said that ? Rockstar has never used pre-rendered footage for any of their trailers, I guess the only exception could be the GTA 2 cinematic trailer, but other than that it's always been in-game footage.
@SynthPotato Wow, I almost didn't recognize you. Never thought I'd see you of all people praise a Nintendo game. I hope you'll start giving indie games a chance next.
@DarkViperAU Matt, you're literally digging your own grave here. You're actively giving ammunition to the grifters to attack you with. Especially considering that most of these grifters are right wingers who will make Kirk their martyr.
You could have just stayed silent.
