The ultimate privilege of being a billionaire is being celebrated for doing a shitty job.
Caught @lucy_guo’s DJ set in Singapore last night, and honestly, it was one of the most amateur sets I’ve ever seen.
She barely seemed familiar with the equipment or even her own set. Beats were out of sync, cues were missed, and the whole thing felt under-rehearsed.
Yet the crowd was incredibly forgiving. Most people stuck around, until some just couldn’t take it anymore.
Money can't buy talent, but apparently it can buy applause.

Absolute madness and being executed by a family office near you!
For the non-SF founders:
If you need to raise money just go to South Park on a nice day, specifically the blue bottle coffee
And go talk to people and ask for advice, not money
Bunch of top VCs all here: a16z, index, BVP, CRV, SPC, Accel, etc
I’ve been DJing since 2018. I’ve played at clubs, small festivals, Burning Man, etc. I’m technically professional but it’s a side quest for me. I mostly play for / with friends to have fun and spread joy.
