@caro_irl Without having tried many of the other options, I do think the feel bad of Magic’s land system is a feature not a bug. You don’t get the drama of a triumphant land top deck without the variance that also creates the feel bad. Not to mention design space.
@Dafore3@RefinedWilson While not weighing in either way on the Lotus discourse, it does feel like Sol Ring is very strong in Boros that leans slightly harder on 2s and 3s.
@Dafore3 More and more I realize the internet is filled with loudly negative folks. I think it’s interesting to consider Lotus not being GOATed in all decks.
@Dafore3 I’d consider Magda being the weakest a hot take. It’s probably like Hearse or something, but I personally would cut like Rofellos, since mono G is such a trap in this iteration. Or tbh, some of the weaker talismans.
@jakeformayor This is a sick thread but this part in particular really puts into context how much of a cash cow arena probably is and really underlines why they use gems/gold to help obfuscate the real cost in currency.
@Chord_O_Calls This is a great pick. So many of these cards would be huge upgrades to some archetypes that feel a little underpowered in this iteration.
@jakeformayor@elCapitanBobby Yeah that’s a really good one I didn’t realize wasn’t in until I listened to LR. Very much feeling some of the Emrakul combos not being present as well. That card is basically an empty slot in many packs.
