"So basically, the Glazers (shrewd greedy bastards), against all odds, have solved the puzzle of how to keep control of their prized sporting asset, abdicate responsibility of the footballing results, enlist a manchester bred patsy who will take all the blame, & have him pay billions for this pleasure."
🔴 Sir Jim Ratcliffe expected to have control of football/sporting operations once vote of 25% minority stake will be confirmed.
Key days ahead for Manchester United future as process will enter final stage.
Don’t be distracted by the media or clowns going in on Bruno Fernandes. These same cretins ignored all his antics when pushing for him to win the player of the year awards last season, they want to distract you for the only real big issue at Man Utd, the owners. Bruno and Lisandro in the last week have spoken one language, facts, attacking them only makes you a Glazers supporter, stop it.
"The reality is Manchester United are not stepping away from Michael Carrick"
Rob Dorsett and Flex discuss Martinez and Fernandes' comments about Man Utd 🔴
https://t.co/s3YxbCHvTq “Toxic”: this is the damning characterisation of Bruno Fernandes from one highly placed Manchester United source after the captain’s incendiary betrayal of Michael Carrick…”
Woke up less angry about the United situation, and I’m not even a United fan.
United are fundamentally broken at the moment. The alarm bells rang early when Ineos brought in Dan Ashworth, one of the best in the business, only to get rid of him so quickly. Recruitment, appointments and decision-making from the top have been questionable ever since.
The result is a culture of blame and excuses. How are we at a point where effort is being questioned in post-match interviews, as Tielemans did last night, and managers are having to talk about players running backwards and forwards? These are the absolute fundamentals of being a professional footballer at the highest level.
Carrick has to take his share of the blame. Whatever they’ve tried to evolve this season hasn’t worked. But he’s consistently defended his players, and after the success he brought last season, they’ve abandoned him remarkably quickly.
Last night’s performance against Como looked like a team that didn’t believe in what it was being asked to do. Fernandes’ post-match interview felt like a dagger to Carrick’s hopes of keeping his job.
The influence a captain questioning his manager’s tactics can have on an entire dressing room is enormous.
Fernandes was incredible last season, but let’s not forget how much Carrick’s tactics, positioning and style of play contributed to that. His frustration may be understandable, but to turn so quickly on a manager who helped get the best out of him feels brutal.
Ultimately, United’s biggest problem is a culture where players have become accustomed to having excuses handed to them. And when things get difficult, they take them.
The players aren’t blameless. Far from it. Until that culture changes, it doesn’t matter who sits in the dugout. The same cycle will continue.
@Highway_30 There's nothing wrong here. They are eating winged termites. It's literally natural protein - 64%, higher in protein than beef or chicken. Meanwhile you happily eat McDonald's and Church's Chicken - basically poison, with your Ignorant ass.
Carrick came in, got the players to buy in, did a great job.
Players got convinced to stick around that may have been looking to leave as they got assurances that the club would back the manager and invest in the summer.
Window ends with net 1 extra midfielder and Rashford who doesnt want to be there.
Big personalities and leaders feel like theyve been misled, manager feels like he's been let down, and the energy around the club falls off.
Its not rocket science. Carrick may not be the solution, but he's not the problem.
Rotten.
Excl: Bruno Fernandes will not be stripped of the #mufc captaincy and is unlikely to be disciplined by the club following his criticism of the coaching staff after the defeat to Como.
Disappointment with comments, but wider feeling is he was voicing understandable anger at the manner of the defeat.
Meanwhile, we’ve been told Carrick will take charge of United as usual for Sunday’s game v #Bournemouth but there is growing concern among club bosses about the team’s poor run of form. No plans beyond Sunday’s game.
"Physically, Man United are the worst team, pound for pound, in the league"
@htomufc breaks down the problems with Michael Carrick's tactical approach and the players' physical condition on this week's TRE ♨️

Manchester United have had fewer shots in the Champions League this season (30), than Club Brugge (32), Sabah (37), Fenerbaçhe (41) and AEK Athens (42).
Rough. 😬😬😬
🚨 Bruno Fernandes: “Unfortunately for us - especially when it comes to the players - those who join expect to win trophies, win games, and reach the highest level…
…but unfortunately, that's been very difficult at this club in recent years. That's the situation”, told Sky.
Carrick usually arrives at Carrington around 7.30am but no sign of him at Carrington this morning as #mufc players on a day off. Some players and staff tried to hide from photographers at Manchester Airport. Carrick didn't.
Michael Carrick to speak to media tomorrow at pre-Bournemouth press conference, confirmed.
Taking place 1.30pm at Carrington, as usual.
