Our Community Nutrition team has been busy! Staff recently provided technical assistance to Courtland Grocery corner store )15th & W Courtland St.) to introduce smoothies to their menu.

In the summer of 2025, thanks to nutrition security champion Councilmember Nina Ahmad, Philadelphia City Council included $500,000 for Food Bucks in its budget cycle, ensuring that more Philadelphians can afford the foods that support our health.

And in November 2025, Pennsylvania made a historic $2 million investment in Food Bucks, allowing the program to reach more counties and neighborhoods across the commonwealth.
