In the summer of 2025, thanks to nutrition security champion Councilmember Nina Ahmad, Philadelphia City Council included $500,000 for Food Bucks in its budget cycle, ensuring that more Philadelphians can afford the foods that support our health.
And in November 2025, Pennsylvania made a historic $2 million investment in Food Bucks, allowing the program to reach more counties and neighborhoods across the commonwealth.
Every gift to The Food Trust is being matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000, through December 31.
