Western Washington University's women's soccer team placed second in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships in Ellensburg. The team has appeared in the GNAC final game each of the last 11 years.
Coming into the weekend, Western ranked No. 4 in the West Region.
Vikings basketball has returned.
The official start of the new season is Friday, Nov. 3, when the Vikings play against Daemen University in Langley, British Columbia. The team’s first five games are on the road, with the first home game on Nov. 14 against Hawai‘i Pacific.
WWU alumni from 2021 to the 90’s came together for the event. Over the festivities, teammates from the 2017 GNAC championship team got to catch up and recall one of the best seasons in the program’s history.
The Associated Students Productions’ fall films series will feature four horror films to keep viewers on the edge of their seat – or couch – at the newly renovated Underground Coffeehouse, featuring a collaboration with Western’s Scream Queens.
“It was honestly a big shock for me and I just have been super thankful to see that,” Oestreich said. “It’s way different this year, we haven’t started with the connection last year’s seniors had, but we are definitely going in that direction and building that trust.”
As temperatures drop and days get shorter, rustling leaves become potential ghosts and pumpkins become jack-o-lanterns. It’s increasingly clear: Halloween is approaching.
