JUST IN: Pennsylvania Democrats appear to have kept control of the state House.
Cambria County just added ballots & nearly finished counting, keeping Dem lawmaker Frank Burns on top by 3% in very Trumpian area.
So Democrats retain a 102-101 majority: no change in seats at all.
@MarkJacob16 @shannonrwatts Forget the commentary. She couldn't change Biden's 40% approval or being his vice president and a woman of color. The rest of the punditry is vanity.
@WajahatAli It's actually 11 million now. Trump gained 2 million of that 11. And millions to be counted in California where it is running about 60/40. So add another 3 million to her total for that, and 2 million to Trump.
Now do the math.
CNN —
Israeli soccer fans were attacked in a “serious incident of violence in Amsterdam” overnight into Friday, Israeli authorities said, with the government saying it was sending planes to evacuate affected citizens.
Hundreds of fans of Israels Maccabi Tel Aviv soccer team “were ambushed and attacked in Amsterdam” on Thursday night as they left the stadium following a Europa League game against Dutch side Ajax, the Israeli embassy to the United States said on social media platform X.
Social media video shared by the embassy showed videos of what it said was violence against Maccabi fans.
CNN has not yet been able to verify those videos.
Israeli foreign minister Gideon Sa’ar said 10 citizens were injured and advised citizens to stay in their hotels.
“The impression from the reports (are) that the situation is calming down in the last hour,” Sa’ar said.

@jpodhoretz@ScottJenningsKY Not sure why you think people weren't prepared? This was about two things in the end. Biden had a 40% approval. His second in the duel was VP Harris, a Black woman running on the Biden brand, rather than away from it. It wasn't as if Dems didn't know these handicaps.
"Margaret Atwood’s 'The Handmaid’s Tale,' a novel set in a totalitarian society, has shot to the top of Amazon’s bestselling books list following Donald Trump’s reelection."

43 monkeys that were being used for vaccine development escaped from a lab in Yemassee, South Carolina on Wednesday and are currently on the loose. This video, taken near the facility on Wednesday afternoon, appears to show shadowy figures moving through the woods. CBS News could not confirm that the figures are the missing monkeys.
People are advised not to try and capture, feed, or handle the monkeys. According to the CDC, some monkeys can carry B virus which can be deadly to people; “Even if a monkey doesn’t appear to be ill, it can still be infected. [The monkeys] are wild animals, even if they have been raised around people. Like any wild animals, they may bite, spit, or scratch when frightened. For these reasons, people should not attempt to capture, feed, or handle the escaped monkeys.” https://t.co/UeoiIs0r9J
2 things can be true: Trump's win is so devastating for Democrats & their policy goals. Also, given the many analyses about overall Dem 'brand' or 'coalition' being in total shambles, I want to hear how that accounts for the Senate splits, minimal-change House or legislatures.
@sahilkapur@ezraklein@joerogan No fleas didn't kill the dog with rabies. Campaign began with Biden at 40% approval. The switch put a woman of color at the helm. Likely, those two factors alone determined the outcome. Harris ran a pretty good campaign considering. Rogan couldn't change
either key factor.
