Great coaches cannot always see what great players see…

They can look in the same direction. They can consider and mull what players are seeing…but they cannot always see the same things…

And so incumbent on ambitious coaches is to incorporate player feedback into their list of important coach behaviours. It’s to give players the opportunity to express their opinion, to given them a platform to share their lens of the game, and to provide space to make suggestions and choices…

…probably not all of the time…but probably some of the time. The craft is knowing when, to whom, and when not to…
