5. Highlight a small price with a big benefit
- 10 cents a day... and you could live the rest of your life never worrying about back pain, thinning bones, and chronic migraines ever again.
What's the common factor in all these hooks?
Emotions.
That's how you make people stop and listen to what you have to say.
I had a 2-hour conversation with a marketing wiz in my kitchen this morning.
Ran his own successful advertising company...
Pivoted industries because he hit his goals for his marketing biz.
And is doing incredibly well.
Over breakfast, he shared one of the biggest perspective shifts that will help you become a better marketer.
You've always been told to create. create. create.
And some of us even phrased it as:
"Create. Don't consume."
But to become a marketer who is always overflowing with ideas...
You must be a big consumer.
Eat everything.
From your everyday conversations with people...
To studies of top performing businesses...
And even just casual observation of things happening around you.
Because without taking in anything...
You've got nothing.
Consumption fuels creation.
Being salesy doesn't cut it anymore.
People have advanced to the point where they call “bullshit” when they see bogus promises and offers.

→ Give the right value

Everything starts and ends with your audience.

Copywriting tip:
Connect the benefits of your offer to everyday things your audience loves.
For example: "With this loophole, you can get a cash rebate on everything you pay for this year."
That's abstract.
But what happens when you add this sentence:
"Your kid's birthday presents...
Your next vacation in Hawaii...
Or maybe even a new pair of shoes.
You get cold hard cash for everything!"
This puts things in perspective.
So even as they quickly read or watch your ad...
They can picture the benefits in their minds.
It's 2024. And there are still business owners who say:
"It may be nice to have content on our social media, but it does nothing to our business. We'll keep running ads and attending events."
If your ads are profitable, keep them.
But if you could:
→ Make it easier for customers and B2B buyers to choose your business
→ Get info from your followers about their needs and desires to help your salespeople close more deals
→ Build a quality email list of buyers that you didn't have to spend a penny on...
Why won't you put some time or money into something that'll help your business in the long run?

Refine your process and go back to it.
Consumers are attracted to winners... And they also like a good success story.
So when they see you do better, they pay attention.
And the more people you attract...
The stronger your desire to win.
It's a winning game.
Just keep growing.
1 month ago... I went on a mini-vacation to Scotland.
And for the first time in my adult life, I let myself shut down.
No thinking about work... or clients... or any of the regular stuff.
I just enjoyed being present in a new place.
Tried new foods, met new people, and did crazy things I never thought I'd do in a million years.
And it made me realize 1 thing.
This is why I work so hard... For myself and for other people's businesses.
Because I want more of these moments when I can enjoy more of the world.
Yes, I love working.
I love writing copy and running campaigns.
But there's so much more to life than work.
And no one can say they're truly successful if they work 24/7 with poor relationships, shitty health, and no stories to tell.

10 things I do to sell high-ticket offers to 20% of webinar attendees in 2024…
(When everyone says ‘webinars don’t work anymore’)
And no... It doesn’t involve hard selling at any point.
Before we get into it…
My webinars have led to:
→ $70,000 on a $997 product in 1 session (we only spent $1,000 on FB ads with 0 affiliates)
→ $3.5M raised from investors to acquire a property in 3 months
→ Hundreds of new inquiries about our offers - leading to more sales.
Once you get it right…
Everything just clicks.
Here’s what I do:
1. Find the sweet spot
You’re likely not the only one selling your offer.
But you could be the only one selling it in a way they haven’t seen before – and helping them solve a problem your competitors don’t address.
I do a lot of competitor research before starting to identify:
→ What’s selling right now?
→ What challenges customers face with popular methods…
→ How my clients' product can solve these challenges
This leads me to position my idea.
2. Name your strategy
What else gets people more excited than free stuff?
NEW stuff.
Giving your new idea a fresh name introduces customers to something they haven’t seen before.
That gets them signing up to attend your webinar and see what you have to teach.
3. Have a starting hook
If you attend webinars often…
You may have noticed that many people don’t spend more than 1 hour watching.
And in most cases, the presenter isn’t even close to introducing the offer when they leave.
You want to avoid this.
The more people hear the full presentation… the higher your profits from that webinar.
So how do you make them stay?
Offer an initial incentive – that they only get if they stay.
I’ve seen people offer money. Some offer headsets and other interesting prices.
Find what gets them excited.
4. Find your connection with the audience.
I’ve had people buy from our clients even after seeing the competitor’s offers…
And they said they were sold on the connection.
We were more relatable.
How do you do this?
By understanding their story.
→ How old are they?
→ What’s their daily life like?
→ What general stories do they share?
Dig deep… then merge their stories with yours.
5. Lots of social proof
Almost every single slide on my webinar is social proof.
→ Pictures with celebs
→ Customer testimonials
→ Screenshots
→ Presenters results.
Whenever I make a claim…
I back it up with at least 3 social proofs.
6. Use stories to share your social proof.
Which one sounds better?
A. Jack was able to buy a property worth $1.2M
B. Jack described this system as ‘his lifesaver.’ In 2016, he was ejected from his home with his pregnant wife and 2 kids because they couldn’t pay the taxes on their home. Since then everything turned sour… today, they’ve just closed on their second property worth $1.2M.
Stories elicit emotions.
Emotions get people to buy.
7. Don’t teach… at least not all the time.
Most people believe webinars are teaching sessions
And that if we teach everything possible, people will be interested enough to buy.
But this is a LIE.
What sells your product is:
→ The idea.
→ The stories
→ The proof
Yes. Teach.
But that’s only a tiny fraction. Our ‘teaching’ doesn’t go on for more than 30-40 minutes.
8. Make it easy to pay.
Not everyone in attendance will have the money to pay immediately.
But you want them in your program. Don’t ya?
→ Partner with companies that help process payments.
→ Offer part payments to allow people get in during the session.
9. Engage during/after the session
I find that although half of the buyers get in immediately we drop the offer…
The second half gets in during the Q&A session where we address all their objections and share more stories.
Many people leave webinars without buying because they have doubts… things you skipped over during your presentation.
Let them ask these questions…
And answer them – with stories and more social proof.
10. Optimize each webinar session
Every webinar is different.
Every market is different.
So what works for someone else, may not work for you.
I found clients copying webinar scripts and crying when they couldn’t get more than 1 sale.
It's just not the right webinar for your audience.
I tweak clients’ webinars every week using insights from previous sessions.
You have to keep improving the script, delivery, and slides until you strike gold.
As long as you’ve got a product people have paid for…
Your webinars can always convert better.
