A week ago one of our dear friends, David, passed away. It brings me so much joy knowing he was here long enough to wear his 12th Man jersey with us and watch this year's spring game, where he got to see the cleats we made in honor of him and the Archer Foundation. He truly is one of us. The world will miss his smile, his sincerity, and the light he brought to everyone around him. @aggiefootball and I are praying for his family during this incredibly difficult time, and we promise to live strong for him, just like David lived strong for all of us.
Ole Miss football just handed out championship rings to its players, and there's a piece of that story most people won't notice.
Those rings were ordered through @VictoryRings, one of our partners at @TheLinkUNIL. Through this partnership, we're creating new revenue opportunities for our partner and our athletes.
It's a small detail with a bigger point behind it: revenue in college sports doesn't have to stop at the school. It can keep moving back to the athletes who earned the moment being celebrated.
That's the model we're building at TheLinkU. Bringing student-athletes and the business community together is partnerships like this one, where a championship ring becomes more than a keepsake. It becomes proof that athletes can win on and off the field.
Congrats to Ole Miss on their run in the College Football Playoffs and to the athletes who had a hand in earning it.

Welcome to our new series: NIL 101!
"Does every NIL deal need to go through NILGo?"
Not every deal requires the same level of review. Generally, third-party deals of $600 or more need to be reported. Whether a deal also goes through full range-of-compensation review depends on factors like the size of the deal and whether the payor is considered an "associated entity" (someone with ties to the school, like a booster or MMR partner).
Recent CSC guidance has also adjusted some of these thresholds, so it's worth checking current requirements rather than relying on what was true a few months ago... this is one of the fastest-moving parts of NIL right now.
The practical takeaway: build a habit of reporting and documenting every deal consistently, regardless of size. It's much easier to maintain one clean process than to figure out case-by-case which deals technically required it.
Got a question you'd like answered in this series? Send it our way!
