@GrubertSplork@Nick___Collins Bullshit. Right now is peak tourist season over there and every single hotel, attraction, rental car service etc raises their prices accordingly.
@LUFC1992_v2@Erik_Hultstrom OH!! While driving through Texas, you will see a place called Buc-ees…it is the largest and most insane gas station/food mart/store you will ever see and it will change your life. Whatever you do, don’t miss it
Philly you have to hit the Reading Terminal Market - it closes at like 6pm so go there for lunch. It’s a huge indoor market with a zillion amazing lunch counters all cooking fresh. Tommy DiNic’s with the roast pork sandwich with cheese and broccoli rabe is bomb.
There are no bad spots in downtown Chicago. If you want real Chicago see dish pizza I recommend Gino’s East but a bunch of other people here will prob chime in with their faves.
Oh great! Ok, so Texas is BBQ for sure. In Dallas my faves are Pecan Lodge (downtown, it’s fantastic…line to order but worth it and great atmosphere). Also in Dallas in the Bishop Arts District is Lockharts Smokehouse…around the corner from there is Emporium Pies for dessert.
New Orleans (NOLA) everyone does the French Quarter but hit Cochon Restaurant (Brussels sprouts are phenomenal).
Waco has changed a lot and is way more touristy now than it used to be. There’s a cool little burger spot called Health Camp that’s right off the Baylor Campus. Very Americana…has a zillion different interesting homemade shakes….
@LUFC1992_v2@Erik_Hultstrom You’re gonna have an awesome trip. Houston in June is…not fun. But stay cool. What other cities are you hitting? I travel massively here in the US so happy so send you some other recs
