@WestyMarcus@SarAllyce Because instead of sitting there and "resting" for 3 minutes on your phone, you do opposite muscles and the first set of muscles can rest while you do the second set
@WestyMarcus@SarAllyce That doesn't make sense. Supersets make it so you can do your workouts faster and more efficiently while keeping your heart rate elevated.
Of course. If you are strength training instead of metcon and you aren't keeping your heart rate high enough to burn you have to supplement with cardio.
The other thing is when you're lifting and building muscle, muscle weighs more than fat so you lose weight slower, and should rely on a tape measure instead.
@labs_vanguard@certifiedsauce1 I get where you're coming from but to get the same amount of calorie burn as he would lifting he would have to run a ton of miles.
@labs_vanguard@certifiedsauce1 Running impacts your knees but helps build stamina etc, there are definite good things that come from it, but when it comes to burning calories, lifting is king. MetCon specifically IMO.
@certifiedsauce1@labs_vanguard Cardio is not the way to burn calories. Lift 3x a week with short 30 second breaks between and walk around the gym between stations. Keeping your heart rate about 130. You'll burn 500 to 600 calories an hour.
Where as biking you'll probably only burn a couple hundred
