The greatest lives are marked by these things:
- Greatness requires clarity on who you are and who you aren’t.
- Greatness requires clarity on who Jesus is and who he isn’t.
- Greatness requires clarity on what you were put on earth to do.
"Greatness is found in knowing Jesus and enjoying a real relationship with him.
Jesus is the GOAT. Get where you can see him.
Don’t live a life that says look at me, live a life that says look at him."
- @TimothyAteek
"Until you see Jesus you are going to live to be seen like Jesus. You will want people to respect you, follow you, and adore you.
But, when you see Jesus, you will want others to see Jesus."
- @TimothyAteek
"Efficiency is the enemy of intimacy with Jesus. Joy is found in sitting with Him until you see. When you sit with Him, you will taste and see that He is good."
- @TimothyAteek
"Spiritual blindness is seeing Jesus and not being captivated by His goodness. Theologically, you know who Jesus is, but you haven’t seen Him recently."
- @TimothyAteek
"When was the last time you gazed at Jesus until you saw him?
You don't fall in love by glancing at someone.
You fall in love by gazing at someone."
- @TimothyAteek
Take the weight of performance and put it on Jesus’ shoulders. You are not Jesus. You don’t need to be Jesus. Stop trying to hold the world on your shoulders.
Some of us are trying to hold the world together for everyone. Just remember: we are not the Christ. It doesn’t mean we don’t do something. It just means we can’t do everything. And more than anyone needs us, they need Jesus.
Think of everything John the Baptist was declaring when he said that:
- I’m not God
- I’m not the one who can rescue you
- I can’t change your life
- I’m simply just a man
"He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, 'I am not the Messiah.'" - John 1:20
"No one aspires to mediocrity. Everyone aspires greatness in some way. What does having a great life look like according to the Bible?
The greatest lives are marked by the greatest clarity."
