One thing that dawned on me recently: I never paid attention to loyalty points. Airline miles, credit card points, hotel rewards. I had them, but never thought about their value.

Once I did, it became obvious how powerful they are. They drive behavior and keep people coming back.

That got me thinking about comics. For the new Dr. Shroud graphic novel, I built a simple system where readers earn Vamp Points as they read and redeem them for collectibles.

It’s just a loyalty system. But it also quietly introduces the idea of earning and redeeming digital value.

That mindset may end up being the easiest gateway to Web3 tokenization without the shock of crypto talk or wallets.

A comic reading points based system is quite possibly the best way for continuing fan engagement!

Instead of chasing comic reading networks or spending marketing dollars, I built my own reader for the new Dr. Shroud graphic novel.

Launching with 8 pages, then one new page per week. As you read, Vamp Points are automatically earned and banked as part of the software.

They are just loyalty points like credit card rewards, not crypto.

Points can be redeemed for physical collectibles like mini ashcans and stickers, with more products added over time.

Planning to have it live before Comic Con in July.
