My Bungie maternity leave benefits are gone b/c the baby isn't here yet. Had I had my baby before being laid off, I'd get STD pay. But the good news is that I live in WA state and can apply for WA paid maternity leave even if I lost my job. hopefully I get approved. 🤞
I've been impacted by the layoffs announced this morning. It's been a privilege working with everyone at Bungie for the past (almost) 5 years.
But it's just really bad timing b/c my maternity leave was supposed to start next Monday and I got laid off today.
This morning, we shared an important update with the Bungie team on the difficult decision to eliminate 220 roles at Bungie.

I had a life. Just a couple months ago. Full time job, a manager that cared about my career growth, benefits, healthcare, friends, a growing content creation hobby, dreams that seemed achievable.
And then it was all ripped away by the greed that fills this industry.
I don't post on here much, but after 2 1/2 years I am no longer working at #Bungie. I loved the content I worked on & look forward to the content yet to come. The Final Shape is gonna be huge & mad support to those holding down the fort.
Looking for QA & Design positions, DM me!
I am going to start a thread (that I will keep adding to) of job listings within comms/marketing/socials in the industry.
Please feel free to add to it too & share for others to see!

Well after 10 years at #bungie I was laid off today. I’m sad for sure. Hope the best for the all the people I won’t get to work with anymore. Love you all.
Turning in my badge before walking out the door of my dream job was heartbreaking. The passion I have for the gaming industry has taken a huge hit, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. No dev deserves to be reduced to a statistic after working their ass off for something they love.
Got laid off from #bungie yesterday. It was a fun 3+ years.
If anyone is looking for a QA professional who has only like one post on Twitter hit me up :D
