BJP's Cooch Behar post names the India-Bangladesh edge, porous borders, cattle smuggling and TMC failure. HMO has Amit Shah's Land Port Management System on the government desk. The same HMO feed shows Sir Creek and new border outposts at Bhuj. OpIndia says a Mamata loyalist is citing misgovernance and lawlessness inside TMC.

The incentive is blunt: the state either builds gates, posts, systems and records, or the border becomes a vote-bank comfort zone. Congress-Left language calls the first option polarisation and the second option harmony. That language hides the veto.

The Hindu price is simple. Families at the edge live with the risk; studios far from the fence sell softness as morality.

Read the border before the slogan. A party that fears the gate is already defending the leak.
