NASA is aware of the anomaly that occurred tonight at Launch Complex 36 involving Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Spaceflight is unforgiving, and developing new heavy-lift launch capability is extraordinarily difficult. We will work with our partners to support a thorough investigation of this anomaly, assess near-term mission impacts, and get back to launching rockets.
We will provide information on any impacts to the Artemis and Moon Base programs as it becomes available.
All personnel are accounted for and safe. It’s too early to know the root cause but we’re already working to find it. Very rough day, but we’ll rebuild whatever needs rebuilding and get back to flying. It’s worth it.
SpaceX’s first Starship V3 rocket has just successfully lifted off!
This is the first test flight of Starship version 3, which features thousands of upgrades from V2. With this launch, SpaceX is debuting a new launch pad, booster, ship, engines and much more.
@adcock_brett This is awesome! Would you consider bringing Scott onto a live conversation for questions? I, and many others, can certainly say that Scott has quite of bit expertise in the area and is a very fun person to discuss subjects such as these!
@elonmusk@GeniusGTX I wonder, if we assume that the establishment of an orbital refilling capability sourced from NEOs is highly probable, what volumes must be achieved (for the purposes of powered re-entry) to begin meanigfully offsetting the stresses on a Starship heatshield during re-entry?
Tomorrow, we launch.
At sunset tonight, Artemis II waits on the pad, ready to carry astronauts potentially farther than any humans have traveled in more than half a century.
The next era of exploration begins.

This was my realization, that the Timeshare industry is in desperate need of blockchain technology to reinvent itself.
The blockchain inherently solves those problems, Tokenizing the Timeshare means that "proof-of-ownership" is instant (not days to weeks) and completely free (not $10s of dollars in fees). Also, title work, history lookup, or “already reserved?” is all easy and verifiable seconds.
But more importantly, the blockchain creates a foundational open ecosystem.
Independent resorts no longer need to pay for expensive tech they can’t afford. Startups don’t have to create one-off solutions per resort.
Now there is a layer to build, perhaps a Smart Lock service, a concierge app, automated check-ins, or anything else. And the service provider only needs permission from the owner or the resort; but never the platform.
This is how we re-invent a flawed, bureaucratic industry as a modern, open, liquid and vibrant ecosystem.

Let’s build a marketplace. Let’s make it modern. Let’s fix all this with an Airbnb or Turo-like platform.
Not possible… or rather, extremely difficult to scale. Why?
When Airbnb’ing, you give the permission and you let the guest in. With Timeshares, it’s the resort that must let the guest in.
Notify the resort: “I rented it, here’s the guest.”
But then you changed your mind and sold it and forgot to notify. Now what? Or, what if you double-booked?
How do you automate this?
You need a deterministic, publicly verifiable way of:
- Proving Ownership
- Viewing and Specifying Guests
- Checking the status of Ownership (delinquency, etc.)
