@JackHadders Personally I find this wrong, not defending the police but being blamed for something you have no control over is the most soul sucking thing that can happen, I've had it in my line of work where I'm blamed for things that have nothing to do with me, I'd have the same look
@ollyp3@KathyParr101 This is everything wrong with this country, too many people like you that instead of celebrating your fellow working class people getting a fair wage you want it automated
I will never understand the attitude of "I don't care so long as someone is poorer than me."
@rugasco1@skumWgmi So it’s wrong to invest in the future of your country which is the young? I also agree that people shouldn’t be on benefits if they can work
The problem is there’s a lack of investing in training and upskilling the future but keep believing all we want is hand outs
@herrvonari76181@Jenny_1884 You pay into a private pension not a state pension those are two different things, the state pension is paid for by current tax payers, obviously I am paying into a private one but as I’ve said before only minimum contributions since that’s all I can afford
@Nonamegiven_o_@Jenny_1884 No way Gen Z is retiring, the jobs aren’t there and the cost of everything is going up, I can only afford minimum contributions into my pension since the rest is going towards bare essentials despite having a decent paying job for my age so I’ll be lucky if I do
@ddale0000@Sillyshib So you chose to have a kid and when the time came chose to not support them and forced them into a dead end job, I really hope you don't end up on relying them for care in the future cuz I know I wouldn't expect care from my kid if that's how I treated them
@Jenny_1884 My tax money is going to people who have more money than me so they can get a triple lock pension and free bus travel when that money could be better spent on infrastructure to help todays youth, only the poorest pensioners should get something from the state.
@Jenny_1884 You have not paid into a system though, the state pension is not some magical money pot you've paid into, it's a benefit paid for by current taxpayers and because the older gens voted for parties that have degraded this country we can't get good jobs to pay for your benefits.
No boomer has ever applied to 500 jobs and gotten 5 emails back and 2 interviews and no employment.
They do not understand the world that we live in. They cannot understand it, that would shatter their world view. They reflexively call you lazy to protect their view of reality.
@rugasco1@skumWgmi Also at no point did I mention anything about hand outs so I don't know why you're focus is on that when my focus is on a better quality of life when you work.
@rugasco1@skumWgmi Finance my laziness? I work full time mate so bold assumption there all the youth want is to be able to work full time and afford shit, we're watching everything slowly degrade more and more while our productivity is up and working harder yet pay does not reflect that change.
@rugasco1@skumWgmi Right so because you lot couldn’t be bothered to change it and fight for a better life that means the young of today should just put up with it? Nope the youth are waking up and calls for change are growing
@FireflyBiilym@RachelT1722 I’ve never met a young person who wants 50k straight away
I have however met many young people who just want a job and are trying to get whatever appears
@louderry Probably because they’re panicking on how they’re gonna pay for the pensioners I think that’s why it’s suddenly being talked about, nothing to do with us
@smithy966467_m@GBNEWS Wrong on so many levels all my friends including myself want to work hard and earn our living, everything keeps going up yet we’re still trying, the problem is when most jobs now expect people to act like machines and treated like crap so then you just do what’s required, no more
@GBNEWS Ah so that’s the problem, thought it was funny how this was suddenly being talked about, it’s about keeping the pensions going at the expense of the poverty stricken youth makes sense as the hidden motive
@ciderboy007@patmcfaddenmp But they won’t though will they, they’ll just take the tax cut and pocket it to executives and shareholders, Royal Mail is a good example of that, should never of sold off what we owned
@GBNEWS I applied and the RAF cognitive test (which was bizarre) said I was only good enough for logistics ain’t no way am I working away at some random raf base doing logistics where plenty of other non military jobs pay better
